Ordered a Canadian burger with fries and an Apple crisp or should I say apple smush. Pretty much disgusting. The burger was fake. Would have preferred fresh made. The fries were soggy. Choked it down because I just over paid for the food. As for the dessert, I love Apple crisp. Absolutely love it. This, was the worst excuse for an apple crisp ever. Two stars is all you’re getting from me, and that’s being generous!

Came to Rockwells with my family for my dad’s birthday. We had a 2 for 1 coupon from Cloverdale’s magazine and decided to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant is nice! They have a dining side and a bar side — we decided to eat in the dining side where it was quieter and more intimate. We ordered the calamari to start and it was light and delicious! We ended up ordering another one bc it disappeared way too fast. Dinner was pleasant — My dad ordered the sweet curry rice bowl, my mom tried the salmon and my sister had the citrus chicken salad. I had the ravioli and it was heavenly! It didnt look like it would fill me up with only 6 pieces but each piece was stuffed with ingredients! I definitley wasn’t hungry after. Our only complaint about our visit was that during dinner, we saw one of the servers sitting in front of us yelling on the phone in Punjabi. Not only did we find it disruptive, we found it rude that she was talking so loud. We were glad our server was helpful and attentive. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave impeccable service! We all agreed that we will be back for my sister’s graduation in June.

The four of us slid into Rockwells on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The server warned us there was a big party coming in and was very helpful with the luncheon choices. There was a large list of $ 9.95 specials, many of which I’ve seen at at least 20% more at other restaurants. One of us ordered a grilled chicken salad, another the grilled cheese, and two of us went for the pork sliders. The chicken salad looked huge, almost sharable size, and the grilled cheese sandwich was a blend of two cheeses on the inside and one on the outside. I had to have a biteful. The grilled balsamicy onions that went with the sandwich on the side were fantastic. A great choice for the vegetarian or cheese lover. I couldn’t say no to the pulled pork sandwiches. A very nice soft bun, with a smattering of cabbage slaw and a nice portion of pulled pork which was juicy, slightly smoky, and best of all, not too sweet. I’ve heard about the past problems. I didn’t go because of them. The newer reviews made me think I should try, and it was worth it. I’ll definitely be back. We ordered the apple hoisen riblets as an appetizer for a staff member still at work. WOW. Just one look and smell of that takeaway appetizer is going to make me come back for more. They looked so delicious that it’s going to be a serious draw. Friendly manager came by to say hello, and efficient helpful waitress, eager to please. Worthy redemption, people. I’ll try dinner next.

Under new management. First cpl times here it was okay. Tonight was much better. Friendly manager don and great service by kim. Parmasan garlic wings were pretty good, especially with the spicy peanut dip. I loved the popcorn shrimp and dip. The apple hoisen ribs were fall off the bone as far as rib tips go but we found the sayce a little salty and just slightly overpowering. Saturday night dbl crown and cokes for $ 4.99…, awesome and unheard of. Lits of tv’s for hockey and great throw back music inbetween. Pretty great experience. We are coming back!

Was in attached Holiday Inn-so came into restaurant for lunch – pulled pork sliders good. WTH-no travel lets go to dinner-prime rib, not so prime(sent back). Chef, very polite came out. I didn’t want another, so ordered miso glazed salmon, which he cooked & served(really good), then apple krisp(really good). Had same with group next night & equally good. Two of group had prime rib the night before(didn’t send back, but same comment as mine, rubbery). Breakfast always OK. Wait staff very quick & polite. Realize that this is a «sports bar», BUT, upscale, & attached to Holiday Inn & Suites, so food has to be decent. I think there are good dishes &OK dishes – realize the bucks are in the booze – still all dishes must be good
