I came into this restaurant pretty excited for some Mongolian food, so maybe thats why I am feeling the disappointment so accutely. Maybe this place is really a 2.5, I dont know. My experience started with me walking into an empty restaurant that was freezing cold. Not very welcoming. I went to make my bowl and the first thing I noticed was that the noodles were dry and crispy. Not attractive, or appetizing. The vegetable choice was meager. The meat was of the frozen variety. It all looked like shaved, freeze dried, pork belly. The sauces were the worst part. They were literally just water with some small bits added in for flavour. In the end i just threw a bunch on and doused my noodles heavily with Sriracha and hoped for the best. The end product was some of the blandest food I’ve eaten in my life. I’m so sad! I cant even begin to explain how excited I was to finally have some Mongolian greatness close to work, hell just in Surrey, but this place was not even close to what Mongolian BBQ is supposed to be. I dont understand at all how people gave this place a good review… terrible palettes… sorry The pricing is fair, it’s what all Mongolian places should try to price their food at. But for now I will pay the crazy amount at Mongolie Grill and appreciate their fresh meat, stellar sauces, and authentic grill.

This is one of those hidden gems you get lucky to stumble upon once in a while! Food is really affordable for the portion size, only $ 13.99 for all you can eat! You get to pick your own veggies, meat and sauces so you know you’ll like what you get! It was absolutely delicious! The service was warm and friendly. The décor is simple, but clean. I would highly recommend this place! Super tasty and the price can’t be beat. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area! A new gem in the Newton area I will be sure to frequent.

Came across this newly opened restaurant the other day. Great value! Lunch special only $ 5.99 for small bowl and $ 7.99 for large, with free rice and homemade soup! Very clean space, and food are fresh. Most sauces are homemade too! Definitely try the secret sauce recipe shown on table(often mix 8 different sauces), it’s lots of fun and great taste :-p Best Mongolian grill in the neighbourhood!
