went in here for a tattoo, actually waited for the doors to open, was very amazed with the selection of artists and portfolio’s that were on display. sadly the experience was ruined by the customer service. when i spoke to the «receptionist» she took in the size/​detail of my tattoo, responded that it would be about $ 400 (6×6 tattoo, solid black, no shading) and that no tattoo artist would be in until two hours later… if the store is open for business, why are NONE of the artists in? she was super friendly, but don’t open the doors if you’re not ready for business, not sure if this was a one time thing, but they have lost me as a customer, because i will not take another chance of this happening again

Giving a review solely on the service and the store, and not on the piercing or tattoo work offered here.
The store is spacious, with a large variety of jewelry in the front and clothing in the back. Further back are the private rooms. The staff are very helpful and courteous. I was looking for retainers and they had glass ones for $ 5 a pop. Even better, they handed them off to the piercer to put them in for me which was appreciated! From what I understand, you can also bring in your own jewelry to have them put it in for you. The piercer was kind and switched out my jewelry in a jiffy.
Will be back for new jewelry! Amazing service.

I have had a lot of piercings in my life — and had one of my best-​ever experiences at Adrenaline with Nic L. I never get nervous about piercings until I see all the surgical looking tools prepared on the table. Nic was incredibly calm, because of this, I didn’t have any jitters at all. The entire process, start to finish, was VERY short (less than 10 minutes) which was great, as the longer I wait, the scarier it can become. After the initial piercing, Nic threaded the jewelry through seamlessly. This is often the worst part for me, but in this instance, I did not feel it at all. I was really surprised about that! He thoroughly explained the aftercare to me, and sent me home with some complementary sea salt to clean it. It was definitely the easiest (and most painless!) piercing I have ever gotten. Of course — I always do my homework, and I know from previous experience that Adrenaline has extremely high sanitation standards, everything is sterilized/​autoclaved. This is a must! In addition, the shop has a great selection of body jewelry and plugs for stretched ears. Yay!

The staff is not kind at all, or at least the two girls who took care of me didn’t put any effort on offering a nice customer service, I didn’t feel comfortable while dealing with them. Once I went to talk with Justin (the tattooist) everything was different, he is very kind and understands your ideas even though they are not so clear at all. Although he takes a bit long to email you the sketch. Then I went for my tattoo session with him, his work is pretty nice and clean, he took a smoking break after an hour of work and took another one later on because I requested it (you can take as many breaks as you want/​need with him). Overall, the tattooists make it up for the staff and make this tattoo parlor one of the best in Toronto.
I would recommend this place if you don’t care about the customer service, but I don’t think I would come back because customer service is essential for me.

Got an add on to my tattoo by Joe, he did an excellent job, I’m so super happy with it! He got rid of the 1990’s feel of it (gimme a break, it was done in the 90’s) and gave it a refreshing more modern and feminine look to it. The colours are vibrant and the artwork is excellent. He was very kind making sure that I was okay during the tattoo. Will definitely come back when I’m ready to add more!

I’m visiting Toronto from Texas and my cousin and I decided to get a tattoo together of our family name. Also, it was her first time getting one. We made an appointment on a Saturday for Monday around noon time. This is definitely one of the nicest, most professional, and clean places I’ve been to get a tat. The staff working the front were always super nice and attentive. They said hi to any one who would walk through the doors and made everyone feel welcome. On the day of our appointment we were introduced to Johnny who was amazing. He made us feel very at ease and worked with us to size up the tattoo we wanted. It was kind of fun that they chose to put us in the front window, which they call the fish bowl, during the session! Upstairs they had more private rooms for tattoos and a lounge to wait around in. When it came time to do my cousins’ tattoo, he was very conscientious that it was her first time and gave her instructions and joked around with her to lighten the mood. His work turned out great and both my cousin and I are so pleased with the outcomes. Next time I’m in the city, im definitely coming back here. They also sell some great merchandise on the main floor and I ended up buying a new bag for my yoga mat.

Cool tattoo shop on Queen street. Joe did a chest piece for me and he couldn’t be anymore friendly. His wife sat in on the work and they were both giving us tips on places to visit while up north which was appreciated. The piece came out good and didn’t take too long which was a plus. Will def come back for more work when I return to Toronto.

I have been here twice now and the guys at the front have been extremely helpful both visits, especially Mardy.
The service quality of the pierces really depends on who you get — the first time I was here the lady was awesome. Super nice and explained everything. The second time not so much (very quick and did not explain aftercare).

Came here on St. Pattys with some friends for the $ 10 discount on piercings cause it can be pricey. My friends got a smiley, a septum and a cartilage piercing. The staff are really friendly upon arrival are very straight forward about the process and any questions you have. They also give you a bit of salt and tell you how to take care of your piercings with alloted healing time frames, and to call if you have any questions.
The ball on my friends septum piercing fell off while walking to the subway and they replaced it immediately when we went back.
If I ever get a piercing, I would definitely come to this place.

I checked Unilocal reviews to determine my spur of the moment decision to get a tattoo while I was on a visit in Toronto. This place scored high! They have a cool shop on the inside and staff greets you and tries to help right away. I had a design in mind was quoted a price and sent upstairs to wait for my turn. Somehow my tattoo artist got changed so I had to explain my idea again. The artist made suggestions and we ended up completely changing my original idea, instead of a geometric diamond we did a shaded 3D looking one. GREAT suggestion im much happier with his design idea. The only issue is because it was his idea to change the design and I had a different artist my quoted $ 120 tattoo turned into $ 300 with me not knowing till it was time to pay. NOT COOL! The tattoo artist said «well we changed the design». Well yes I guess we did but if its going to be over twice as much quoted you should tell someone that BEFOREHAND! It turned out beautiful though and the owner/​manager dropped the price for me from the mis-​communication which was very nice.

I don’t know. I’ve only gone here to buy jewelry, but I can say that the three or so times I’ve popped in to get something new and fancy for my nose or ears, the associates have been mad helpful. And the prices for the shit I’ve bought here are okay. Not really a deal, but they aren’t gouging either. And when I had them put in a L-​nose pin, it was super fast and painless even though I’d done a number on my nose pulling out a corkscrew when it caught on a ring. I come back to not knowing, specifically about getting a tattoo in the front window on Queen, but otherwise, I have a soft spot for this place.

I decided to give this location Another try only because I was desperate for new plugs.
So I walked in and was promptly greeted as well as, «looking for anything in particular»
Told the gentleman I was looking for spacers for an upcoming event. Real helpful guy. Showed me different items and options that I had. Plus, I didn’t have to pay an arm, leg & a piece of my soul.
Keep the new staff.

Very happy after my second piece done by Trevor yesterday! Again, beautiful line work, colour, precision, and an overall perfect drawing of the traditional sailor jerry type swallow I wanted on the front of my shoulder. The size and placement is perfect, and I felt totally relaxed and comfortable throughout. Could not be happier and I can’t wait until the next one.
As an aside, I’m pretty surprised reading some of the other reviews on here. I didn’t ever have a bad experience at adrenaline, and this was my third piece done here. The staff were always friendly and very attentive. I didn’t experience getting «ripped off» like some other people mentioned… I think with tattoos you get what you pay for. If you’re comparing their prices to a sleazy basement parlor in Parkdale, clearly you’ll be paying more at Adrenaline. That being said, Adrenaline’s prices are competitive and pretty good in my eyes. Get a consult, you won’t be disappointed :)

Dropped by yesterday and I was really happy with their services. A guy greeted me when I stepped in and showed me to the body jewelry section. Without any hesitation, he provided recommendations on the designs and quality I should purchase.
They had a huge selection and while I was browsing, another staff member (Jonny) approached me and recommended designs and colours. It definitely made the experience better and he was quick to provide a good discount which I appreciated.
Definitely recommended!

Customer service here sucks, they dont keep record of every customer so when u go for a retouch they dont have you si you have to pay. Also I was told one day retouches are mon and thursdays, two days after they wanted to book me for wed or saturday. Too many shady inconsistencies.

This is the place that I received my first ever tattoo, and honestly, I only went because I heard everybody loses their ‘tattoo virginity’ at adrenaline. Let’s start with the good stuff first. The shop outside is really fucking cool– they have people getting tattooed in the window, and it just looks like a sick shop. The first time I’ve ever been here was for my belly button piercing.
The parlour is very sterile and clean, you get your own individual room to be tattooed in and everything is in order. That’s an A+ for them. Plus, the artists all seem to know what they’re doing and they have some AMAZING people there: was glancing through Alannah Mule’s portfolio and WOW!
The customer service is also really good, almost every time I’ve been inside, I’ve been greeted in a friendly manner within a minute. …And ready? Time for the bad stuff. The only time where I don’t think there was good service was once in the winter, I went in to ask for a tattoo quote and a male was there and didn’t really respond to me until I said ‘excuse me’ twice, to which he replied ‘what?’ and after I showed him my tattoo idea, he was like «you know that can’t be the actual size.» …well no shit, I’m on my damn iphone! He just gave off a bad vibe and made me feel dumb for asking. I absolutely hate being intimidated in tattoo shops especially– if I knew more, why would I even ask?
On top of that, the tattoos are WAY overpriced, especially if they know you’re a newbie. Not sure about the personally designed ones, but I know if you want a few words or something and it’s your first, they’ll way overcharge you.
I got a triangle slightly bigger than a toonie and it ended up being $ 140. My boyfriend got a tiny lightning bolt on his finger (…clearly not much room there) and it was also around the same. Go mostly anywhere else, and they should charge you shop minimum. C’mon, it’s a tiny pic that any artist can do…
I guess if you’re going, try it once for the experience and then I’m sure you can find a place more worth it after.

ive had a couple different experiences at adrenaline, all bad, because of horrible staff
i accompanied a friend of mine to have his septum pierced. The piercer was extremely unfriendly and in fact said nothing to us other that «1,2,3» as he was sticking a needle through my friend’s nose. he mentioned nothing of aftercare. horrible experience
a few times, i have purchased a 10g stainless steel horseshoe ring, and they charge me a different price every time for the same exact product. I was once charge $ 35 for a ring, and then almost a week later charged $ 50. Whoever is at the till decides the price I guess. I have a big tall guy with a red beard charge me $ 50. He is by far the worst employed at the location. So rude, and seemingly, judgemental. He acts superior.
The staff are so unfriendly, unhelpful, and rude.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. The staff can be rude– sometimes youre stuck standing around not knowing who to talk to while the staff chats with their friends — which you cant tell apart. Sometimes, youre greeted by someone right away.
Their staff turn around here is.alarming. I’ve never had the same piercer twice. When I ask about _​_​_​_​who did mine (or a friends) last time, they will say they no longer work there — this has happened with 3 or 4 different piercers, all within a year.
I got my vertical labret pierced here a year ago, and it was wonderful. The girl who did it was sweet, and spent a solid 20 minutes making sure it was at a proper angle — asking me to make different facial expressions to see how it would sit.
My navel was a whole other experience. The girl (Ash i believe?) was rushing us, and not very nice. she marked it and didnt give me a chance to check it out in the mirror — which ended up being VERY crooked. She also pierced it too deep (length wise), and the jewelry she put in was subsequently too short and has made healing extremely difficult. I had to go through the (painful) experience of getting it changed at another shop. She also was quite offensive when I asked why she wasnt using clamps. She said «GOOD piercers dont need clamps, and a GOOD piercer knows theyre dangerous.» Like she was insulted i had asked. Sorry, but all of my other piercings at this shop had clamps used so I was confused?
Overall very hit and miss. I have a perfect vertical labret from them, and a crooked too-​tight navel.

After an unfortunate experience at New Tribe (just across the street), I came to Adrenaline when I woke up one day and decided that I wanted to get a tattoo. Some people wake up and say that they want to have pizza for lunch. Some wake up and say they want to go swimming. I woke up and said, «let’s get a tattoo», so I did.
I went to Adrenaline because I had been meaning to try it. I knew a few people that went for piercings and tattoos and had no negative things to say about them. I agree. My tattoo artist was funny and kept the conversation going the whole time. He was funny and he was pretty good. I got a tattoo on the back of my neck. Line weights and shading was excellent. I’ve had the tattoo for 2 years now and it’s still solid in color.
I was really pleased with my experience at Adrenaline. Great for walk-​ins– only waited about 10 minutes for the next artist to be free, doesn’t charge ridiculous prices, and has a great team working for them. My next tattoo, if there is one, will be at Adrenaline.

Went here before with a friend to get her piercing done and decided that I would try it out for mine. Nice place, cool atmosphere and the staff were friendly and patient. I almost chickened out for a piercing but I felt comfortable enough to come back and actually go through. with it. Glad I did.
