This place has good food and good prices but the service was HORRIBLE. It is very loud and not a comfortable setting to enjoy food. It’s good if you want quick food for a cheap price but the workers there are very rude and extremely loud. If you try to specify what you want in your food they get angry and give rude/dry reactions to you. Overall, horrible experience and would not eat here again if I didn’t absolutely have to. I hope they can work on this, has potential to be great.

After having just arrived in Toronto, we needed a quick bite to eat and saw this spot! It was a Tuesday, which means $ 4.99 buy one get one free falafel??? A miracle. In USD, that’s $ 3.53. It’s a fast food joint, and I’ve seen a couple in Toronto, since I stayed near the one on Dundas. The guy asked if we wanted all the toppings and spicy, and we said yes. The only thing was we didn’t get a large selection of toppings, only a few. Everything else was extra, for platters only. Oh well, can’t complain for the price. We also bought some flavored sodas; pomegranate, orange, and mango. We got 4 falafels to split amongst 3 of us, and it was way too much. The falafel gets a 5⁄10 on my scale, it was pre made and just heated up, which is alright sometimes. The price beat anything and I would definitely come back when I’m in Toronto again!

I have never been a big fan of Ali Baba’s before, but this place has some really good shawarma and is a lot cleaner than any of the other locations I’ve been to. On top of that, the staff I’ve dealt with are really nice and up beat. With good food and a decent prices, this is an easy spot to recommend to students looking for on campus eats.

HALAL Do not go on their website and believe their hours of operation. I was upset one day because by the time I wanted to go eat here the website said it was CLOSED. Well, with the zeal that I had to try this place I still went by and guess what… it was OPEN. Anyways, I got a chicken shawarma sandwich to go. The chicken was marinated well and cooked properly with all the tastes a shawarma should have. The pita had just the right amount of meat and toppings. I would definitely go back here and get the shawarma again. The portion and the price are on point… nothing too cheap and nothing too expensive. If you want great tasting Middle Eastern food, then this is a place to definitely try.
