I was bummed that the store was closed this time around. I remember this place because I passed by here in May and bought a bunch of Stance socks on sale. I had wanted to check it out but it was closed when I walked by this time. It was after 1030am I think. I’m not sure when this place was supposed to open but I want to go back before New Years. If you like Stance socks this store has a good selection and deals too.

A blink-and-you’ll miss it storefront on a stretch of Yonge known for peeler bars and discount sushi, The Accessory Bar carries an impressive array of watches, hats, bags and the like. On-trend and on-point, it’s pretty tough to go wrong. Merchandise isn’t cheap, but it is solid stuff. TAB has a great selection of Nixon watches, Herschel bags and The Hundreds hats, to name a few. Oldsters who fear the more«urban» vibe of the place needn’t worry. Even the most straight-edge customer gets treated politely by staff who are eager to please, and will be patient while you dither between watches or wonder if you can really get away with a black leather hat(I still haven’t committed). I’d love to see what they could do with a bigger space; a full ine of clothing, or an expansion into slightly higher end stuff. If you’re in to costume jewellery, they have truly awesome stuff. Those who prefer silver at minimum, may just have to wait.

BOTTOMLINE: A fantastic«urban lifestyle» boutique with a cool selection of gear and gadgets(shades, watches, headphones, bags, caps, etc.) to accessorize yourself to death! :D This narrow shop has been around for a few years now but it’s still easy to miss in the chaos that is Yonge Street. There selections of products seems to regularly change and they often sell brands that are hard, if not impossible, to find elsewhere in downtown. You can check out their FB page to remain updated on new products and promotions( )(their actual webpage has nothing on it). Case in point: They introduced me to the Incase line of bags — pun intended — and I have since become their biggest fan( )! They’re the Apple of bags — minimalistic, clean lines, chic, well-made and absolutely functional. There are your usual backpacks and messenger bags and even a lady’s tote bag that can store you lappy on the side, but their coolest line are the camera(DSLR) bags that don’t make you look like a dork and/or target for a mugging. I’ve been looking for a bag like this forever and not a single camera store in Downtown even sells this line! Their products can be priced on the higher end but not outrageously so — chances are you’ll find something you like at a reasonable price. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Definitely a place worth checking out, even if you’re window-shopping.
