Amalia offers various types of jewelery (mostly rings, earring, and necklaces) of high quality and of an older era (think vintage but not used, pieces from other decades — very unique but not so modern).
The owner, Jose, is from Peru and has been running the business for over 40 years, including after he was shot (!) during a robbery in the early 90s. He’s incredibly friendly and has a definite local following (friends popping in to say hello, etc.).
I brought a gold chain here to be shortened and it was done for me on the spot for a very good price. If St. Clair West is your hood, this will be your one-​stop jewelery repair shop. Ask for Jose!
