Fantastic staff, service could be better, had to go in to find out that my glasses where ready (because they didn’t call) Dr’s are great.

My experience has been similar to the other reviewers. I think Dr. Feldman is a great doctor. At times I have found the reception staff rude. And the prices are at least double anywhere else for glasses. I have requested my prescription several times but always left empty handed — they said they would but just didn’t get around to printing it out. I would return for the exam but not the products.

I would never do business with this company again.
I went to see an optometrist for an eye exam and a contact lens fitting this summer. I have no complaints about either of the doctor’s work (I saw two different optometrists).
However, my major complaint is that I was not given my prescription. I called two times to get my new prescription and each time was told it would be emailed and it was not. Eventually I was in for a contact fitting and asked for a print out.
I had the same issue with my contact fitting. Upon arriving I sat for over 45 minutes and at no time did anyone tell me that the optometrist was that running late (when I asked 15 minutes in I was told she was running a bit behind). Eventually I expressed how upset I was since I was catching a flight later that afternoon they eventually had me see a different optometrist.
Once again, they did not give me my contacts prescription (different than my eye glasses). A few months later I was in a different part of the country and would be leaving Canada shortly so I called the office to get the prescription. I was told that I hadn’t ordered from them so they would have to have the doctor call me back. Needless to say no one called me back.
It took me calling and being put on hold for about half an hour to finally have them email me my prescription. I can’t help but feel like this office is passively aggressively trying to get you to order glasses or contacts with them.
Skip these guys and go elsewhere.

Having been here several times, I can say I fully agree with a previous reviewer who said the two optometrists at this location are excellent, but the staff and overall atmosphere are below par. While the optometrists were helpful and friendly, I have found the staff to be defensive and rude.
On one occasion, I requested an appointment for a specific reason but was told the person I needed to see was on holidays for two weeks. Since I needed the issue taken care of as quickly as possible, I said unfortunately, I’d have to research other options. I was then told I could come in the next day to see someone. I was extremely confused and asked for clarification on why I was now able to make my appointment. I found the staff member very short with me and I ended up going elsewhere (to Bloor Optical, which was also more affordable.)

Went in to check the place out, but didn’t get as far as meeting the optometrist. Their prices are high and the staff unfriendly. When asked why they charge so much more, they get defensive and talk about how no one else does actual eye exams. Save yourself the trouble and go to Opticiando a few doors down.

Talk about a pain. They work every angle in the book to extract every last dime from you. For example, take an eye exam and ask for your contact lens prescription. Sorry, that will be $ 100. Even though you just finished paying for the exam and they have your prescription in front of them, $ 100 more to see it. Forget about frames and lens, highway robbery. Long wait times, extra charges for everything.
Find another optometrist if I were you.

This is the first business I have felt compelled to write a review for ever, on any website. My experience with Junction Optometrists has always been poor. The two optometrists I have seen were excellent; helpful, competent and friendly. Unfortunately the pricing and the staff are way below par.
Each of the 4 times I have been, there have either been extremely long delays or mix ups with appointment times (not just for me, I have overheard other customers supposedly «confusing» their appointment times). I have been ‘surprised’ by pricing that they neglected to tell me about prior to my appointment. The staff are very disorganized and easily confuse the products you are trying or ordering.
I have dropped a lot of money into this business, and will now be cutting my losses and going elsewhere.

Been going to Dr. F for years now, he’s brilliant, warm, engaging, and simply the best. Would never go to another optomitrist.

I can’t speak to Doctor Feldman’s ability as a doctor but I had a very unpleasant experience with Junction Optometrists. I have never paid so much for an eye exam and contact lenses in my life. Having just moved here from another city I thought maybe this was typical pricing for Toronto but I have found out by asking around that this is not the case.
My eye exam at Junction Optometrists was $ 180. A six month supply of contact lenses was $ 150. I was previously paying $ 90 for eye exams and $ 80 for contact lenses. Basically I’ve found out I’ve been priced gouged because I wanted to go to the neighbourhood shop around the corner. Needless to say, at more than twice the price of the competition, I will not be going back.
