Received my first box for Christmas and loved it. Fantastic variety of product, excellent customer service. And of course, delicious.

I have received 6 boxes of remarkable charcuterie since joining and have never been disappointed (nor have my friends who get to sample along with me).
I am always looking forward to the next delivery to see what wonderful surprise awaits me.

A great variety of meats that you won’t find anywhere else. A nice way to try some different styles. My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present and it is one of the best gifts she’s given me! Great job guys!

Carnivore Club has an excellent curated selection and provides an info sheet on the products they selected taking the guess work out of knowing what to purchase at your local delicatessen. Highly recommend!

I saw Carnivore Club on Dragons Den and my husband can be hard to buy for, so I figured it would be worth a try. He loved it! The box was nicely packed, it came in a decent time in the mail, and it was so different. The value for what was inside was also good. I don’t have a subscription, but I like the emails because I can easily opt to get a one-​off box for my husband as a special gift.

I bought a gift for my brother for the holidays. The first (of two) boxes arrived in January and the charcuterie was DELICIOUS! Truffle salami, etc. I love how they also preview what’s coming in the next box, etc.
Related — one piece of charcuterie came with a bit of a funky smell. We weren’t sure if it was intentional (hey, some things smell!) so we reached out to customer service who immediately shipped a replacement and was nothing short of professional and focused on making the customer happy.
While I bought this as a gift for my brother, I’m strongly considering buying myself an annual subscription!

The packaging is great. The quality of the charcuterie is excellent. Wonderful monthly mailing. Always excited to try what is new each month.

Didn’t quite know what to expect, but soon a pretty cool wooden box arrived at my doorstep. It was filled with magical meat treasures like truffle dried sausage and beer sausage. Did not last long!

Love it! We love the variety of meats we have received. Some we have had before, some we haven’t. It could be a little more afforadable but some of those meats are very expensive at the grocery store, so I get it.

I bought this for my father in law. He loves it! What a great manly gift– works perfect for any meat loving man!

I bought my husband a Carnivore Club subscription last year for Valentine’s Day. He looks forward to getting his new box bimonthly. All of the meats and variety have been really good quality.

I was looking for the perfect Christmas/​Birthday/​All-​the-​other-​holidays-​we-​missed gift and stumbled across Carnivore Club. This is genius. We gifted a 3 month subscription and our friends love it. The quality and customer service is great. I keep trying to think of an excuse to give it to myself…

Came across Carnivore Club on a whim by googling «charcuterie box» since we wanted something to pair with our wine clubs and it seemed like the next step up. We were impressed by the website and were curious about it so we placed an order for just one month — and four delicious artisan salamis were delivered! A duck salami, black truffle, white truffle, and venison salami. We are adventurous eaters but would have never known how to shop for quality charcuteries as we are newbies, and would probably not have picked these out at the local store. They were GREAT after we used our mandolin slicer on them, fragrant, rich, but not too heavy. Super impressed!

I ordered my dad a Carnivore club box for Christmas because he is into a bunch of fancy meats. The box was delivered on time and the contents were great. The pamphlet about how to pair the meats was also useful and went great. If only it was cheaper (or I was richer) I would subscribe.

I“ve ordered the carnivore club box for about 3 – 4 times now, and each time I have to say, all the charcuterie that I receive is top notch! The only thing I didn’t like is that the communication isn’t very good. They don’t send you an email to inform you when your box is on the way, which i think could be improved because these meats often should be in the fridge after they arrive. One time becuase of this problem my box was sitting in the condo receiving room for over a week because they didn’t know the box has items that needs to be fridged. However, the products that they do support, i have to say are REALLY good. Often times because there is so much and I can’t eat it all myself, I usually use them to serve at parties, and i’ve had a number of guests on various occasions asking me where i got the meat from because they really liked it. I find the amount they give you is reasonable, though there was a box i got one time where it was all just salami. which is nice, but I kind of expected there to be more than just salami — an assortment of different types of charcuterie would’ve been nice. My first experience was with a groupon and i subsequently ordered another one to use for myself and one for my dad on Father’s day last year. One time i mistakenly ordereed one from the states — very misleading because they don’t tell you it’s just for the states — luckily groupon was able to give me a refund. I“ve also spoken to customer service before and they do seem really nice, and was quick to address my concern. But i would say that US has more selection than we do here and sometimes they have really good deals that Canada doesn’t seem to have. It would be nice if the price could be more affordable. 50 – 55 bucks a month is too much for me. I may still order it the occasional time to indulge in these delights, but I don’t think I’ll ever be ordering these boxes regularly.

Amazing service. I was introduced to several of my now favorite cured meats proprietors via Carnivore Club, and I’ve taken to my website to sing my praises. I can’t recommend them enough. Also, the boxes/​packaging are/​is really nice. I’ve kept them as keepsakes. One box I ordered from them was actually a humidor that I now use for my cigars and pipe tobacco. What’s even better? They often offer discounts, and you can take advantage of them if you follow their social media and keep a keen eye out.

After seeing Carnivore Club on Dragon’s Den we decided to give it a try, sending it to a family member as a little «pick-​me-​up» every other month. The sign up process is easy and once you’ve signed up for your subscription (available in various intervals to suit your meat-​cravings!) you can forget about it and wait for your subscription to arrive!
We had an an issue with one box, and Carnivore Club was really quick to rectify the problem and expedited us a new box right away, along with a t-​shirt to make up for the inconvenience!
As for the meat itself, we’ve been subscribers for over a year now, and continue to enjoy what comes every other month. The little menu that is provided in each box is great for describing where the meat comes from and what it is paired best with.
The only thing that makes me a little sad is that when I follow Carnivore Club on Facebook I see the boxes that are offered in the USA, and I’m sometimes pretty jealous of what they receive in their boxes in terms of variety compared to what is in the Canadian boxes. But isn’t that always the way in Canada when it comes to food selection?

One of the better and worthwhile monthly subscriptions out there. The meat selection is unique and contains samples that cannot be found in your usual grocery stores, while at a competitive price compared to getting similar items at grocery stores. The guides that come with every month’s box is beautifully presented and informative.
If you like to eat cured meat on a consistent basis but want the selection and procurement process taken care of, this is perfect for you!

In short, my review pretty much echoes the overall sentiment of other Unilocalers.
Great concept but poor execution.
I used a Groupon. Side note: totally should’ve read these reviews before I bought it, but I also figured… how bad could it be? My boyfriend loves meat (what guy doesn’t) and I mean I’m only asking them to ship the correct package in time for Christmas, oh how wrong I was.
The Groupon consisted of a standard box and an additional $ 15 gift card. I ended up purchasing 2 boxes for my boyfriend for Christmas (the standard box and the special Christmas box). The special Christmas box was more expensive than the standard box and was supposed to come with higher quality meats and a better box (wooden as opposed to cardboard).
I ordered both boxes at the same time, literally minutes in between the other. On the site it states that the box (es) will ship the following month after you order them, at the beginning of the month. I placed my orders in mid November expecting them to ship at the beginning of December, just in time for Christmas and allowing the boxes to arrive before our holiday vacation. I expected that information to be valid for the standard box since the special Christmas box had a note stating that it would arrive before Christmas.
Apparently my expectations were set «too» high. I ask my boyfriend multiple times throughout December if he had received any «special» boxes from me in the mail. Negatory.
It’s mid-​December already. Nothing. I decide to email customer support. It is literally nonexistent, I receive ZERO replies regarding my issues. The only thing I «get» is an email notification that tracking numbers have been generated for my boxes.
Really? Nothing specifically addressing my questions or issues? Nothing confirming whether I would be receiving my order before Christmas (as they had promised).
I email again to press on the issue and see if they would reply. I finally get a reply. It is extremely arrogant with no apologies about their lack of replies or their late delivery. Only excuses… a BULL$*1T one specifically.
Their «explanation» for sending my standard box late was that they didn’t want to «surprise» people who were receiving it for Christmas. What a cop-​out! The standard box is typically part of a monthly subscription where people would be EXPECTING it early on in the month.
My boyfriend was finally able to receive his standard box days before Christmas and they attempted to deliver his special Christmas box on the 26^th.
How’s that for reliability and customer support for ya?
As far as the boxes go, we haven’t had the opportunity to try them yet. Partially because looking at the boxes makes me angry.
However the standard box he received was literally ALL salamis. As much as he likes salami, we were both expecting more variety than 4 salami. I will say that all of the salami were different: white truffle salami, black truffle salami, venison salami, and duck salami.
For the special Christmas box, he actually got a repeat salami that was provided in the standard box which was kinda annoying. It consisted of: chorizo seco, trufa seca (basically another black truffle salami under a Spanish name), cerveza seca (yes, another salami), and salami picante (yet another salami, it never ends!).
They advertised other artisanal meats like prosciutto, jerkies, terrines, and pates; however we got none of those. Just tons of salami.
I’ll make an update to this review once I’ve tried all of the meats, but the star rating isn’t lookin’ so hot. They ruined themselves on their horrible customer service and types of products delivered.
TLDR: Unresponsive customer service. Late delivery for December/​Christmas. Excuses given for late delivery with zero apologies. Boyfriend received 7 salami in 2 boxes. A chorizo was the only thing that kept him from receiving ALL salami. Don’t do it, you’ll regret it.
