I always stop by to get their Hokkaido milk tea, it’s rich, milky and definitely worth those 50 or so cents to upgrade from the original milk tea.
One star is taken out just because the dine-​in experience isn’t always the best. I’ve dined in before with a companion and we were told they ran out of two things we ordered.

Very warm service with a special cookie as a gift. Ordered a normal milk tea and it tastes exactly right! Will come back and grab another drink

Had the Sesame milk tea with milk pudding!
The milk pudding is way too sweet! But the sesame milk tea is nice and rich! Even tho I ordered the drink is 30% sweet it’s still too sweet! I think it’s from the over sweetness from the milk pudding! Would def give it a 4 stars if it wasn’t for the over sweetness…
But will be back to try other things!

Walked by here on a Sunday evening when they recently opened, they were offering cotton candy with purchase of a beverage… no thanks.
I decided to give this place a try, there were no other customers at the time. I got the oolong milk tea, which was quite fragrant in tea aromas, but the staff who took my order seemed in a rush (he did not bother to ask me how I wanted my ice/sweetness/toppings…)…and proceeded to tell me the total amount.
This place is steep, a large drink with no toppings cost me $ 5 and tax.

Tapioca balls were rather mushy and I didn’t enjoy chewing them. The Hokkaido milk tea tasted much like the regular milk tea at Chatime — I didn’t like the flavor and barely drank any after I tried it.
It seemed like a nice little shop and the pictures pasted all over the wall make their drinks look appealing. But I didn’t like the Hokkaido milk tea I tried, which alot of ppl order.

My favourite bubble tea place. I always order their chocolate milk tea with 50% sugar. Soooo good!

I really like this place! While the place is quite small with like 2 small sit in tables. the atmosphere is still quite nice with lovely posters advertising different teas all around the room!
Especially the Hokkaido milk pudding is really creamy! I have also tried the. Melon bubble tea which was ace as well!

I personally prefer this bubble tea store than the others among finch and Yonge area.

Finally got a chance to try their famous hokkaido milk tea with milk pudding recently. I have to say I like it a lot.
Personally I try not to drink too much BBT due to high sugar content but here you can customize sugar level. Also i like the pudding much better than tapioca. I will definitely come back to try more flavours. Next time i will bring a friend who loves BBT & he will be delighted.
Neat lil shop. Friendly barista. Great for grabbing a drink when you r in the neighbourhood.

I think I have a serious bubble tea addiction, to the point where I was having one a day. I came across this place while walking around North York, craving bubble tea.
The place is very small, with not a lot of space to sit. It’s probably best for takeout, or small group.
I tried their hokkaido milk tea, which seemed to be their signature drink. It was so good~! I got 50% sweet, which was recommended by the employee, as this drink tends to be on the really sweet side. It was so creamy and delicious. This is my new favourite drink ATM.
They also take Vicinity points card!

My girlfriend is a serious bubble tea drinker. We go to practically all the places around Markham and Scarborough, but we keep making trips out to North York for this gem. Hokkaido is the one to get here, if you like milk teas. We had 3 Hokkaido milk teas in 2 days — we can’t stop coming!

The good:
Lots of awesome options, only tried one today. It was customizable by sugar level and ice level. Did 30% sugar and less ice.
It was plenty sweet enough and the ice melted nicely before I finished the drink. Next will be 0% sugar and no ice just to try for taste. :-)
It didn’t take too long to make the drink.
The bad:
Price seemed high for the amount. $ 7 ($ 1.22 tip).
I tried to order a drink suggested on Unilocal but the barista couldn’t understand me.
Communication between barista and myself was moderately staggered.

My go to bubble tea now. Great small business with great read.
The Hokkaido milk tea is amazing

Absolutely love their Hokkaido milk tea with milk pudding!!! It’s different from any other bubble tea I’ve had in the city thus far. The flavor is so rich and the milk pudding adds a nice light texture.
I’ve been here twice now and both times the ladies working behind the counter have been very helpful with their suggested sugar to drink ratio as well as personal recommendations.
I’ll definitely be back, hopefully to try other flavors, if not… Can’t go wrong with the Hokkaido milk tea! If only they had a little more pudding or came with a combination with tapioca… Then it’s be perfect. (You can totally do that, I’m just too cheap)

The Best Milk Tea in Toronto?
Hokkaido Milk Tea with Milk Pudding ($ 5.20) is more like a Milk than a Tea. If you are into milkshake like drink, you might enjoy how creamy and smooth it is. I just find it really too heavy and creamy for my liking especially on a hot summer day.
I might give other drink a try at Easy Drink Easy Go but the Milk Tea was meh for me.

Try the Egg Pudding Milk Tea. The best $ 4 you will ever spend on a drink. The egg pudding in the drink is silky smooth and you get the option of how sweet the drink can be. The server asked how many sugar I wanted and I’ve never been ask this for milk tea so I just said 1. Could have been a little sweeter but I still loved it. Can’t believe I’ve lived this long and only now discovered that egg pudding milk tea existed. Next time I will try with 2 sugars.

I don’t know how I never noticed this place before. Smooth velvety milk tea? Yes please! Chewy sweetened tapioca bubbles? My love! Taiwan chain store? Authentic!
This bubble tea shop is located at Yonge just south of Finch beside Pastel Creperie. It’s a small space, good for takeout, equipped with free wifi.
Their menu and the delicious looking drinks in the posters on the wall makes it really hard to actually choose a drink. Some interesting items that caught my eye: honeydew smoothie with coffee jelly topping, apple vinegar drink (I never tried it but it’s really popular in Taiwan for losing weight), avocado smoothie, milk tea with glass noodles, smoothies made from real fruit, soda (??), etc…
Ended up trying the Hokkaido Milk Tea with Pudding, which is their signature drink and packed four other drinks to go. I also tried the stewed beef rice. I don’t know what secret recipe they used but the curry beef was MMmmm Mmmm Good :)
The Hokkaido Milk Tea (HMT) was creamy, strong, and the pudding was a lot of fun. The drinks are all fully customizable by ice level, sugar level and mine was just right. I saved some for my sister who is a HMT lover and she approves big time! :)
So my family was super happy when they saw me come home with drinks. I told them I needed to sample them first so I can write a review about this new place to which they happily agreed. Here’s my verdict on the other drinks:
Matcha Snow Cap (matcha smoothie with a salted cream on top) The cream is non dairy so okay for people who are lactose intolerant. I thought this drink was interesting and delicious. A bit of sweet and a hint of salty.
Grapefruit Juice with Aiyu Jelly. This drink is light and super refreshing. Just the right hit of tart.
Taro Milk Tea with real stewed pieces of taro inside
Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Tapioca. I’ve tried this many times in Taiwan and so I wanted to see if their version stacked up. I hate to be disappointed, but this place did not disappoint. Brought me fond memories of bubble tea in Taiwan.
Did I mention this place smells like freshly cooked and sweetened tapioca pearls? I went in at 1 pm today and that’s exactly how the entire store smelled like. Sugary goodness. If you don’t know how that smells like, you need to get yourself here!

A true hidden gem among the countless little shops around the Yonge and Finch area. I agree with Zee W., I’m abandoning TenRen after knowing this. Sorry TenRen, we had a good run but I found someone new.
This is apparently an international chain, originating in Taiwan but with a head office in Hong Kong. This small shop is the first Canadian location, opened by a lovely couple from Malaysia/​Singapore (countries that knows a thing or two about delicious tea), and is a charming, if a bit cramped, spot which has a LOT of exotic bubble tea flavours you wouldn’t normally get anywhere else.
For starters, you HAVE to try the Hokkaido Milk Tea. This is without a doubt their #1 specialty, and has a delicious creamy taste reminiscent of Malaysia/Singapore’s teh tarik. Served with a small pudding topping inside the tea (yep, you read that right), it’s a richly satisfying drink. The flavours are strong but never overpowering, and the overall creaminess of the drink makes you feel sated.
Another thing you have to try is their mango milk tea (coupled with jelly). The flavours come across as strong without assaulting the senses, and it is a very refreshing drink with very little in the way of that heaviness that milk teas are known for.
The most important thing, I almost forgot to mention, is that you can choose your sweetness level. Everything we ordered was at a 30% sugar level and they were all extremely flavourful without having excessive sweetness that often ruins bubble tea drinks (I’m looking at you, Tea Shop 168).
We also tried the plain milk green tea and the taro milk tea. Both were siply delicious. These flavours are found everywhere else, but EDEG does them exceptionally well. Your tastebuds will thank you, believe me. I’ve long said that, if the base flavour of the tea itself is good, it doesn’t matter if it’s sweet or not. This place excels in its base tea, and as such the fact that we had very little sugar added didn’t detract from the deliciousness of the beverages.
Make sure you sample their curry beef rice too. Delicious and spicy, though they do give you a lot of rice to douse those flames lingering on your tongue. They’re working on other menu items, so I look forward to trying them in the future.
Overall, this is a great place and a wonderful change from the large chains that we have been familiar with. It’s a great place to try something new and, at the same time, have a great time doing it. I was surprised to walk by this brand new bubble tea shop on my way home, and decided to give it a try. They had a promotion of 50% off any drinks off the entire menu, so of course I couldn’t resist!
I tried the original milk bubble tea with a mix of large and mini tapioca, and it was surprisingly creamy and the tapioca was cooked just right!
The owner was very friendly and explained exotic items on the menu (ie. Noodle MIlk Tea) — you’d have to try it to understand. The poor lady was standing outside in the cold handing out business cards.
They claim that their ingredients all come from Taiwan (the motherland of bubble tea) but the owners themselves are from China. Either way, I’m not disappointed at all that a decent bubble tea shop has opened near home!
