This nail salon is a no frills kind of place. The prices are very affordable and if you are in the area and need to get your nails done, they would be a good option. I got my gel nails removed here, wow, this process took 45 minutes. My nail technician kept repeating that the gel solution that my previous nail spa used wasn’t gel. At the end, my nails felt damaged and brittle however I wasn’t sure who to believe. I was however thankful that I didn’t get any cuts on my cuticles. I then had my nails painted over and they looked great! There were a lot of other patrons getting their nails shellaced and many pedicures, I think if you pay cash, there is no tax. The color selection is good and the salon is clean. Overall, the experience was okay.

I showed up 20 minutes before they closed and they were more than happy to give a mani-​pedi, it was rushed but I was super impressed with how it turned out ! The staff were very nice and it was very clean as well. It’s overall prices very reasonably, would highly recommend

for quality, convenience, value, this is my favourite nail salon in the city. Sita is my go to person and is so sweet and so good at her job!

First time getting my eyebrows threaded, I showed up a couple of minutes after they opened without an appointment and they took me right away. Clean, friendly, quick, and cheap ($ 8). I’m happy with the result and will go back.

I went here for my first manicure ever yesterday. It was an interesting experience — I had always believed that at home manicures were better value, but I also wanted some pampering so I decided to give it a shot.
Upon entering the salon, I was underwhelmed. I had gone at 11am on a Friday, so it was quite early — but there was nobody there. That should have set off alarms in my head that maybe I should skip this place. But no, I continued on in and was greeted sarcastically by a woman.
The prices for this price are relatively inexpensive. It was $ 15 for a regular manicure, so I went for one. That was probably the best part of the entire experience — the fair price.
The woman who serviced me was respectful, quiet, reserved, and made minimal effort to communicate with me (which I don’t mind, but a greeting would’ve been nice). The atmosphere was very dull, no décor (it was truly a no-​frills salon, get your nails done and you’re out), and none of the workers looked like they wanted to be there. In fact, most of the workers were on their phones or painting each others nails.
The regular manicure process entailed: nail shaping, cuticle care, a 30 second hand massage, nail polish removal, base/​colour/​top, and finally the UV drying station. I could tell that she was working hard, but my cuticles look far from perfect. The manicurist also left me at the UV dryer for far too long. In fact she forgot about me – I had to ask her when I would be finished, 10 minutes after being neglected.
All in all, if you want a no-​frills salon to just get a quick manicure on the go – this is it. I have yet to try to spa-​manicure bundle but I doubt I’ll be coming back anytime soon with this less than stellar experience.

I like the ladies who work there. I like the owner. The location is convenient and the prices are reasonable.
However, my shellac manicure didn’t even last a day. One fingernail peeled off. I returned the next day and they fixed it free of charge. Today is day three of my manicure and three fingernails have peeled off and need to be repaired. I don’t wash dishes by hand or work with my hands so there is no explanation for this.
I expect a shellac manicure to last for weeks, not for hours. I think that their nail polishes are older or something, since the nail technicians seemed to be doing a good job.
I would go back for eye brows waxing or a regular mani but not for shellac services.

$ 30 for mani-​pedi. I always leave here happy :) Shital is my favourite, she’s so sweet! I also get my brows threaded for $ 8. They are a really lovely group of women and they look after you. My pedis are the best: they do a scrub, your soles, cream and massage, then a hot towel before painting your nails. Perfect!

It’s a bit hit and miss, to be honest. I’ve had great mani pedis, and not so great ones which chipped really quickly. Some of the women are lovely-​some a bit brusque.
I went in yesterday to try out shellac nails-​the idea is that they don’t harm your natural nail but last three weeks. I ended up with 2 different people doing it because, as became obvious half way through, the first woman didn’t really know how to do them. Now my left hand looks good but my right hand is a bit messy and there’s a chip already! As I was leaving, one of them (who seemed like the manager) saw my face and said they would fix it for free if there were any problems. She said shellac nails were hard to do so only some people did it and it would be better to have an appointment. I wish I’d known that before they decided to just crack on with it and practice on me!

I went for eyebrow threading and UV Gels. This was my first threading experience, so I have nothing specific to say about it. It was quick, painless, and it looks good enough for me.
The UV Gels are another story. It has been 3 days since I got them done, and they’re lifting off of my own nails already! I couldn’t believe I had to pay an extra $ 5 for french-​style airbrush. Doesn’t that usually come free with the set of nails? Not only that, the girl wasn’t careful with the airbrush, so some of my nails have white flecks all over them. Other nails have so little white polish that you can actually see through the french tips.
Also, they didn’t paint my nails in pink before adding the french tips, so you can still see where the plastic additions were put on.
Oh, and they don’t take credit card. Only debit. And the whole ordeal cost me $ 60. I would say that’s majorly overpriced. I’d go elsewhere if I knew of a better place, or even a cheaper place in the same neighbourhood.

Everest Nail Salon is an clean and fast experience every time. This has become my go-​to nail place. They always have an empty seat and a spare stylist waiting for you, even if every other chair seems to be full. This is your basic vietnamese nail salon, though. They don’t get into too much conversation with you, except to make sure you are comfortable, have your massage chair, «ON» and offer you a manicure? Threading? Waxing?
The rooms in the back have a rural mexican shack kind of vibe, but still I’ve had some threading done back there and it turned out alright. The prices are slightly higher than some others– the $ 35 mani-​pedi forever ‘special’, $ 20 for just the pedi.
If I avoid this one pair of particularly tight shoes, the pedi lasts 3 weeks.
The Madame here is a bit odd, though. She has some power over the lovely vietnamese ladies.
