Assured, the attached body shop, is brutal — absolutely brutal!
If you are a woman (or human who wants competent service), do NOT go to these fools. Unfortunately, I figured that if my insurance company recommended them, they must have been vetted. Ummmm… Nope!!!
They agreed to deliver my vehicle post repair as I was badly injured in an accident — but they never did. In my medical state, I was unable to advocate for myself, so they just kept my car — no call on the morning they promised to deliver it, or the next day, or next week, or the week after… NOTHING!
Finally, when I was well enough to call, they made all sorts of excuses: vacation, short staffed, bla, bla, bla… They even denied their promise to deliver it, though both my friend and I witnessed their promise to provide service in that way.
Then, finally, I had family come to town, and I asked for help in retrieving my car as I was still too injured to pick it up, and clearly they weren’t going to return it. I called ahead, and when my family member showed up at Assurred, the car, strangely, was already running.
On the drive home, it had no power, and felt weird…
A few days later, my family member attempted to start the car. You guessed it — it wouldn’t start. We called the shop and their voicemail said they would return the call within 3 hours, but nope, no call after two days… so I called back.
I told them I was having issues with my vehicle immediately upon picking it up after their service, and asked for them to restore my vehicle to working condition. They said it was my problem now, and that I could go pay someone to fix it if I wanted it to work. They said it was running when it left the lot, so it wasn’t their problem. They even went so far as to say that perhaps I didn’t maintain my vehicle…
I had my car boosted, and it started. It was let to run for over an hour, and then parked again. Shortly afterward, there was another attempt to start it, and again, dead battery.
My car had no issues with the battery prior — NONE AT ALL.
So, what does it look like? It looks like they fried my battery while it was in their possession. When I called ahead to say my car was getting picked up, they went to move it out of the back of the lot, and found that they had killed the battery. They boosted it, left it running so that no one would see that it wouldn’t start, and sent it on its way without notifying anyone if the issue.
Is a battery a small thing? Sure it is, but you know what isn’t small? Dishonesty, lack of integrity, lying, bad customer service.
They could have created a very happy customer either by great service, or by fixing their error and owning up to it and being cool — or by saying ANYTHING other than «it’s YOUR problem now!» Who does that? What kind of company treats customers that way? What reputable company doesn’t stand behind their work or at least TRY to leave customers with a positive experience?!?
It was all very shocking.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE CLOWNS. They may treat you well if you look fancy and have a fancy car, but if you expect to be given quality service if you are a «normal person with a normal car» — don’t go anywhere near them. The valet driver I read about in another post will suddenly be unavailable.

Wow! From the moment you step in the door through a slushy dirty mess, to the terrible coffee in a so-​called lounge in a paper cup with Coffeemate while you wait forever to get your car, get ignored and looked down at from a bunch of self important entitled people, to getting the bill, this is place a total joke.
Uncommunicative, unhelpful, expensive ($ 140/​hour).
If it could get any worse and it does, get your collision work done at their ‘partner’ Assured North York and your day (s) will get far worse. Add incompetent to the above list. The only bright light at Grand Touring is the Aston Martin mechanic, Derek.
I would never go there if I had to (and I did because of my insurance company). Thank goodness I have a great mechanic for my sports car.
When I have the money to buy a new one — I’d rather drive to Montréal or New York or Boston to buy my next Aston there. These guys really suck.

Nothing «Grand» about this dealer’s service as service department is not the cleanest nor the most organized, furthermore people are not even professional either. They can NEVER give you the correct time required to service the car ie. They say an hour will be needed but 5 hours later they say they have to keep the car overnight! And technicians are not even the most skilled as most things don’t even get fixed and they will charge you for the labour!!! We requested to have engineers flown in to inpects our cars, which they never granted. Oftentimes they will find ways to not honour the warranties and make you pay for repairs.
We’ve also been told too many lies here as they assume we are not knowledgable with cars. Any repairs that would require too much work will be labeled normal, which included grinding noise in gears requiring rebuild of transmission. But they will manage to find small repairs with which they will charge you hefty amount to rip you off.
Do not service your car here. Go in to fix one thing but you will come out with 10 more things to fix. You can bring the car in for steering fluid leak but you will have to come back 3 more times to have it comepletely fixed.
