I had an iPhone 5S whose battery life had depleted over a few years of constant use to a fraction of its original lifespan. You can buy a kit online to replace it yourself for about $ 30, takes a week to ship from the US, and it’s a fiddly, complicated, laborious job that requires good hand-eye coordination, which I do not have. Looking at reviews of the kit, a lot of people manage to do it just fine, but a lot of people manage to break their phone in some substantial way too.

on Unilocal,seemed most people were happy, so strolled in on a Saturday afternoon. Dropped off the phone and they were done less than 45 minutes later for $ 50 plus tax — well worth the extra $ 20 to get it done by a pro on the spot, and my battery life is vastly improved. Service was particularly friendly too! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing iPhone repair.

sigh…
last year when i broke my screen i checked the pricing here first and it was much higher than stellar cellular (this is not an ad i promise), so i got it fixed there instead and they had excellent service.
i should have realized the price here for an iphone 5 battery would be more expensive than the other place too!
anyway, my screen had cracked again but it didn’t really need replacing (it is still fully functional) so i just went for the new battery since mine was really crapping out. the desk person said it would take an hour. great!
i come back, and my phone screen is actually popping out, and won’t snap back in place. i actually have to use masking tape to hold the screen down.
there’s a different person at the desk (she was really nice and tried to be accomodating) and she asked if the person i had spoken to before let me know that a cracked screen might affect the ability to put the battery in properly??? what???
the first clerk did not mention anything about this, so the new desk person gave me half off even though i don’t think i should have been charged for this at all. also i’m pretty sure the battery is still shit.
SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE SHOP DOWN THE STREET.

Wow. The «geniuses» at the Apple store only WISH they were as genius as these guys.
For years I’ve been becoming increasingly frustrated with the service at the Apple «Genius Bar» which is often inept («Sorry, I don’t know why it’s doing that» — thanks, «Genius») and difficult to access (appointments book out a week in advance). On top of that, the repairs they do cost a freakin’ fortune (just like their products).
So I brought my busted Macbook Air here on my husband’s recommendation and after checking Unilocal.They had the computer fixed up (battery replacement) within a couple of business days, for about a third of what the Apple store said it would cost. Two days later I was back with a smashed iPhone screen, which they repaired within the hour, AND they took 10% off the price as a «return customer» discount. (I’ve heard of a first-time customer discount, but this idea is really smart – they have a customer for life in me now, barring any major problems.)
Service was at all times friendly, professional and honest. No up-selling. Great prices, excellent turnaround time. Two thumbs up. The only thing that could improve it would be if they were open earlier so I could drop stuff off there on my way to work, but they do stay open til 7pm so NBD.

In and out in one hour. I cracked the screen on my iPhone (absolutely demolished it) and was terrified of being without it for a long period of time since I’m a freelancer. They fixed it quickly and made sure it was working perfectly. The work comes with a six month warranty.
Staff were wonderful. I’m sure I could have gotten this done somewhere else for less money ($ 125 for the screen on my iPhone 5) but I was happy with the work and the speed. I’d be back for sure if I needed to — though I hope not, because that means I’ve screwed up some important piece of tech.

These guys are really great and knowledgeable. I needed to get my digitizer replaced, because it had broke, and having been burned by going to a cheaper place in the past, I specifically went to them to get it replaced because of their 6 month warranty. Yes they are more expensive than some other places, but it’s worth the extra cost. Their parts are better quality, and you can notice the difference. Their warranty has allowed me to have piece of mind that I won’t have to pay to replace the digitizer all over again, and I have been able to deal with any minor issues without any extra cost. Obviously if you have Apple Care, that is the best place to go, but when you’re like me and your apple care has expired, these guys are a perfect replacement.

This place is so useless. I don’t get the hype. Or are these fake reviews?! Makes one wonder.
The quote for fixing a broken screen on the iPhone 6 is ridiculous here! It’s a lot more than the Apple Store and voids your warranty.
They’ll only tell you that if you ask. Thank heavens I know my tech.
I wonder how many people get fooled.

Rather happy with the service here: fast, friendly and careful with my iPhone 5S. Not sure how they handle so many walk-ins, but they delivered on-time and I was pleased with the overall experience. Moving forward, while knocking on wood, I will bring my repairs to this location, despite it being well out of the way — it’s totally worth it for customer service alone. I had a related incident at the 2109 Yonge which I still haven’t shaken off and plan to take action. I broke the glass, they fixed it quickly, but selfie-camera wasn’t working, which they later fixed, but then battery was draining seriously fast, which they couldn’t fix. I asked for my money back and the response was offensive. I then discovered the main camera was not working well, didn’t want to go back, which prompted me to see Lindsay at College. Should have gone their first!!!

I first came into irepair sometime in January to replace my charger port. The staff were fast and friendly. Today my port was malfunctioning again, I quickly went over expecting to pay another repair fee but was astonished when I was told this 3^rd party repair shop supplied me with a warranty ! Repair was done on the house. That fact alone puts irepair in another league when compared to your local phone repair kiosk, 5stars

I break my laptop quite often and each time they fix it for incredibly reasonable rates!
The greatest customer service as well as an incredibly quick repair time. I broke my laptop 2 weeks ago and went in, within one week they had it fixed and had also repaired an underlying issue!

LIFE SAVERS!!!
Recently, my phone died out on me and I went to Apple where they told me that my phone would «never» turn on «ever again» and that I’d need a new phone.
Knowing that what Apple had to say was a load of CRAP and hearing the great reviews on this place, I decided to go in and get the battery replaced hoping that would be the solution to my problem.
I called in and let them know the issue with my phone. They let me know the price and how long it would take.
I went in later that day and Owen let me know how the procedure would work and answered all my questions!
Less than an hour later, I got the battery replaced and my phone was working! Not to mention for a reasonable price along with a 6 month warranty.
Huge shout out for the kind and speedy service! Thank you, iRepair

Dropped off my Nvidia Shield tablet to them after what I thought was water damage. After treating it for water damage, the tablet still wasn’t working. They somehow managed to fix it and charged me for less than what I expected. Service was excellent and my tablet actually works better than it did before my water accident. Will not hesitate to recommend irepair to others. Amazing

Second experience with the iRepair business is AMAZING!!!
I am updating my review with a link to another location on the Danforth because I chose the Walk-In Service option this time (and the location choice for my first review was arbitrary because I used the Online/Mail-In option). Awe-inspiring service yet again. YES!!!
Fast, friendly, and always a perfect job done.
There is also a wall of accessories and cases — good ones — which, as the dude says, will guarantee you’ll never see him again!

This place is outrageous– I literally had to log into Unilocal as soon as I got home to write about it.
I came here with an iphone 5 that had been repaired elsewhere (somewhere that shall not be named) where the service was slow, expensive, and sloppy. Long story short: I smashed my screen, had it replaced, and it started to pop out of the frame after about a week and the microphone stopped working to boot. This is after at least 3 visits and two weeks without a phone. Not cool. But rather than risk going back I’m so, so glad I went to irepair.
The fine folks at irepair were quick, friendly, and didn’t make me feel like an idiot for having such a crushed phone. I ended up having the battery replaced, and they fixed up the speaker and helped me with the screen for free. Because they’re NICE. And to top it all off, it took only a fraction of the time they quoted me and I walked away feeling genuinely confident with the work that was done on my phone. The saga is over.
If you’re contemplating going somewhere cheaper, save yourself the trouble. Go to irepair and pay to get the job done RIGHT, once, with certified parts and people who actually care about helping you.

Excellent service, they were fast and reasonably priced, my iPhone was fixed both times (once after being dropped in the toilet by my 5 year-old and once with totally shattered screen, also, thanks to my 5 year-old) in 45 min :)
I recommended them to my mom when her phone was accidentally thrown down granite stairs, fixed like new.
