Kruisbuilt is a Toronto-​based team of designers, craftsmen and contractors who specialize in custom solutions for residential and commercial spaces. Our work ranges from modern and contemporary styles with a minimalist aesthetic to more richly detailed surfaces and environments.

Residential:

Kruisbuilt offers new construction, renovations & remodeling for kitchens (including custom cabinetry & millwork), bathrooms, home additions, exterior updates and decks.

Commercial:

We provide comprehensive retail, bar and restaurant design services. With expertise in layout, seating, fixtures, furnishings, lighting design and branding, Kruisbuilt can assist you from concept to finished project.

History

Established in 2005.

Starting with a life-​long love of woodworking and cabinetry, I began designing and remodeling my own personal kitchens and bathrooms. Between stints building hand-​crafted displays and custom frames for various galleries and museums, I began to take on other projects as a designer and general contractor which led to the formation of Kruisbuilt. Our current focus is on all facets of bar and restaurant design after the successful completion of Bar Isabel in Toronto with another restaurant design /​build project underway.

Business Owner

A designer and general contractor, Marx Kruis previously worked at a major museum in Toronto creating display solutions for a wide variety of artifacts. He obtained his BFA from Concordia University in Montréal.
