This review will be a little lengthy because I actually want to document the specifics so you can make an informed decision and NOT shop here.
I’m a larger /​taller person so I was really excited when I moved back to Toronto and found this place. I’ve worn quality suits my whole career, generally Hugo Boss, and I was looking forward to taking it to the next level and having a bespoke suit made for me. I sincerely regret that decision now.
At first I ordered two suits and some shirts. They were tight fitting, but I figured maybe I was just out of touch with what the style is nowadays (big mistake on my part). After wearing one of the suit jackets only TWICE, the die on the liner bled through and ruined a shirt of mine. While they were willing to replace the liner and shirt for free, they also made a comment about perhaps it being my «body chemistry» — BS. I’ve been wearing suits for over 15 years and this has never happened to me in my life. Again, I was too kind and the fact that they replaced everything quickly and free of charge calmed me down.
Recently, less than two years after buying those suits, I was in an important meeting when my pants split at the side seem. Incredibly embarrassing. MADE suits made me look like a fool and feel like a child. Again, I’d had this suit for less than TWO YEARS and cared for it well. I’ve had Boss suits (you know, suits from shops that actually know what they’re doing) that have lasted for over 5 and look brand new.
Let’s be clear. Tomas is an excellent business man. He found an apparent gap in the marketplace and knows how to market his business. What he is not, is a tailor. He is literally an accountant who saved up enough money and made enough contacts where he thought he could make a go on his own and open a business. He has precious little experience making clothes, and it shows — he thinks making a high quality suit is something anyone can just pick up and learn to do overnight. He’s selling you an experience, but his clothes, especially for the price, are nowhere near where they need to be. I have a feeling he could have just as easily opened a pizza shop, but for some reason, he wanted to open a bespoke suit shop — it’s just a business idea to him. I should have had alarm bells going off in my head when he told me his story while measuring me and he basically said «how hard can this be?».
I’m going to call them out. They have a guy with no experience measuring you, and then after you chose a material, they outsource the work to some low quality shop. Hats off to Tomas, it’s a great business model. Unfortunately, I don’t think MADE appreciates what actually goes into a nice suit, and what the clientele they’re marketing to expect in terms of quality.
If you want to pay for an «experience» and have someone serve you scotch in a nice showroom so you can «feel like a boss», fine, go ahead and waste your money here. If you are the type of clientele this establishment apparently caters to, and actually need quality, well fitting suits for work or for a nice event, avoid at all costs.
I wouldn’t pay half the price I did for these suits. Would you pay nearly two thousand dollars for a suit from some guy in his early 30’s who has been doing this for less than 5 years? I feel like an idiot for going here and trusting MADE.

Went to MADE for a custom made suit. The experience and the final product was disappointing. I found that Tomas was not helpful in providing his fashion expertise and when expressing my concern with the length of suit he did not provide a solution rather the suit was altered to be too short and unwearable. I would therefore not recommend others go here for a suit. I have had other suits made at a better price, better quality and much better customer service.

Being a larger person it’s very tough to find suits off the rack that fit. It’s been near impossible, and I’ve always wanted a more affordable solution. What MADE offers me is a solution that is not only made in Canada but also delivers one of the best services I’ve ever had. With their new studio in place, and some of the best experience including a Scotch while I went through my consultation, the knowledge staff helped me go through the process to becoming a MADE man.
How the experience worked was they asked me detailed questions to help me have a better understanding of what exactly I was looking for, and helped me narrow down the hundreds of different fabrics they had. After settling with a beautiful blue Reda herring bone fabric, we went to chose the lining that best matched the suit. I went with a white paisley lining, and topped it off with tortoise buttons, white under collar, baby blue button holes and topped it off with my monogram.
Excited to wait for my suit to finally arrive, 3 weeks later, I received an email from one of the consultants and raced over to the studio where I was handed another Scotch and tried on my new suit.
The fit was spot on right away, and didn’t need any adjustments. Finally I was able to find a suit that fit me perfectly regardless of my body type.
I’ve been back since to order a blue plaid sport coat for the summer time, and can’t wait to pick it up!
