This park has been completely renovated as a natural space. One of the large trees was due to be felled, and was used as the centre point for the new space; morphed into and installed as a climbing structure/fort, benches, edging for park and sand play areas, and a picnic table-great for taking a snack break. Added to the tree-based structures are musical instruments, a «cloud forest» made by generating mist, slides built into the hillside, climbing ropes and nets, and climbing boulders. This park is a show piece of the neighbourhood and should really be experienced to be appreciated.

If you were in need of a large relaxing space where you might read a book while your kid plays with the other little devils, mccleary’s might not make the cut(for you, the adult that is). theres no grass. its all sand. which is perfect for the kiddies… unless like my niece, they are neat and germ freaks. mccleary looks like its been there forever, and its probably nice to feel like this park might just belong to you were you to be a resident of mccgee street where it rests, just adjacent to a cn/go train bridge. they have the ‘required’ swing set, monkey bars, slides, sandbox and seesaws. for a kid whose just excited to be at the park and wouldnt have the more particular cares of his adult counterpart, this place would be perfect — it has all the fun stuff to do. It seemed a bit of a ghost town during the fall, especially by the concrete bridge, but I imagine that during the summer where there are many trees serving as a backdrop it might make it much more cozy.
