It’s close and convenient usually they are stock with what you need but it can get busy and they really don’t have the staff to help or even on cash. Less then half of the registers are open so line do get long. Line up are just as bad as shopper or Wal-Mart so there is no relieve

This is my closest No Frills. Their chain is described well by the name they behold — there are literally No Frills attached to this place. It’s your basic grocery store to the very core. They carry the necessities and a few bits and bobs assorted randomly. The location is convenient because if you can’t find what you need you can just run on over to Walmart or Shopper’s Drug Mart nearby. From what I’ve seen, it’s usually pretty busy. I can’t really pinpoint a time when I’ve come and it isn’t hectic. Things are shelved in the appropriate places and it’s got a decent organizational system going on. The shelves are decently stocked, though sometimes you’ll have to exercise stealth and nab the very last item of its kind. Cashiers work diligently, though they aren’t exactly friendly. With the amount of people shuttling in/out of this store it seems they’re doing the best they can — so I can understand why some may be sporting frowns.

other than to get your basic groceries, this no frills doesn’t really have much extra. The produce is just okay, the last time I came I remember seeing stuff being out of stock. It’s not particularly big or clean, it’s really just there for basic groceries. I once bought avacados here and they were rocks

This location is always packed and what stifled me was as I was entering the No Frills from the mall, there was a sign on the wall to my left that read«Shoes and Shirts need to be worn»(granted it may not have been worded in that sense but it pretty much should have been worded that way) and it struck a cord that there’s obviously a reason why they have that sign up — no store would have that sign up if they didn’t experience a problem like that in the past so it was a little unsettling to say the least. Turning the corner, you just see a swarm of people waiting to be checked out and wonder what the deal of the day was that you missed since everyone else seemed to have gotten the memo to come to this place, except you — well you too but really late. Anyway, the cleanliness of the aisles are distracting and sometimes it’s not always clear. I do like how there’s also a Wal-Mart at this mall and you can walk to both to compare prices since they’re both on opposing ends. I may not recommend this location unless you are in the area but it is pretty convenient.

They run out of vegetables very fast. They are very busy in the evening so they should have a little extra in Stock. The counter have huge line ups and the cashier randomly closes the register even when people are in the line. Seems like they are running on the minimal staff.

I ended up at this No Frills by mistake(was driving by on my way to a different store and decided to see if they had something specific… they didn’t)… anyway I decided to pick a few things up before moving on. Even though I walked in at 8am(right as they opened) everything was freshly stocked and clean and the store felt ‘completely’ open. The meat/fish section seemed to be pretty deficient but the grocery section was nice. I ended up walking out with 40lbs of stuff in a hand basket(paying a dollar to use a grocery cart is far too wasteful for me) and probably would have rated this store 4 stars if it hadn’t been for the cashier at checkout. I won’t name her but she was rude and distracted(talking to a colleague the whole time I was checking out) and made 2 mistakes on my bill(I only bought about 30 items).

This No Frills never manages their cashiers to customers ratio. Not enough open check outs and way too many people in line. Everything else about the store is average at best. One employee recommended that«working here pays the bills, but nothing else rewarding» «Nick» does not care about customer satisfaction, let alone his own employee’ satisfaction!

I generally don’t like to shop at No Frills because they’re usualy a) chaotic & busy, b) messy & unorganized, c) limited in the products I normally buy, & d) little to non-existant organics section. On a Sunday afternoon this place was definitely hopping with shoppers. Luckily we only needed some basic groceries & they had everything we needed. Cashier service was fine. She wasn’t friendly but she wasn’t rude either. Some of the shoppers were a bit slow moving & clogged up the cashier lanes as they took their sweet time packing their grocieries up. I probably won’t come back here if I can help it though.

I really like shopping at Nofrills its a great place to buy groceries and they carry the presidents choice line which is one of my favourite brands. I would have given this location 5 out of 5 stars if it wasn’t for the rude service I received this weekend(Sept. 02⁄2012). To elaborate, we had gone in to purchase groceries and return 2 sauces that we had purchased from another location. The sauces were not open, but we realized it was the wrong type– that was the basis of the return. When we approached the cashier to make the return, she stated that she couldn’t do the return because we had purchased the sauces from another no frills. She then, in a rude manner, referred us to the back of the receipt and told us to read it, the back of the receipt mentioned nothing about not be able to return at other stores, however it did refer us to a sign in the store. As I read the sign, I noticed that it reiterated what was at the back of the receipt. So I reproached the cashier, and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came he refused to make the return and referred us again to the back of the receipt and the sign in the store. At this point I was upset, and frustrated because the manager started saying that«its not the stores policy to take merchandise from another Nofrills because each one is privately owned(franchised)», he continued on to state it would cost his store money and that I should drive to the other Nofrills to make the return. This is when I told him that the stores policy is in contradiction with the corporate policy which is clearly printed at the back of the receipt and posted in the store. If the store has there own policy it should be printed and posted and accessible to the customer, so I asked for a copy of the return policy he was quoting from, and he couldn’t produce such a copy. So, after arguing for five minutes he made the return for me. This was a complete and utter wast of time and ruined my day– I felt like I was arguing with an uneducated moron who clearly doesn’t know how to read because had he been able to read he would have understood what the corporate return policy is.
