Toronto specialty beer tours that include the history and culture of Toronto. Our two main tours are an all-​day Saturday tour, called the Old Toronto Beer Tour and a weekday (Tues. to Fri.) walking tour of the Distillery District, called the Toronto Beer & Chocolate Tour.

History

Established in 1998.

Founded by Oliver Dawson in 1998, after a 13 year career with the original Toronto craft brewery — The Upper Canada Brewing Company. Oliver began the business offering international beer tours of Europe and the British Isles. Then in 2000 he broadened the business to create the first-​ever local beer tour — the Old Toronto Beer Tour. In 2015 he added a mid-​week walking tour of the Distillery District — the Toronto Beer & Chocolate Tour.

Oliver D.

Business Owner

Oliver Dawson, founder of the Beer Lovers’ Tour Co. pioneered the concept of

beer tourism while directing market development for the Upper Canada Brewing Company. After starting his own company he originated the first-​ever Toronto Beer Tour.

Oliver also works as a consultant to the brewing industry, with clients including LCBO, Steam Whistle Brewery, Sleeman’s, Slavutich Beer & Zirkova Vodka and Old Tomorrow.

In his non-​beer time Oliver works as an international public speaker, corporate consultant and facilitator for Eagle’s Flight Canada/U.S.A. Finally, Oliver is also an actor, singer and voice-​over artist, who can be seen in theatre and television.
