Business Owner
A veteran in his field and the creative heart of an artist, Rohan Laylor is as comfortable painting with light as he is with a brush. He discovered his strong desire for the photographic arts after his completion of the Advertising and Graphic Design program at Humber College in 1991. He then went on to continue his photographic studies at Ryerson and the Ontario College of Art and Design.
Rohan’s shooting technique and graphic image style is heavily influenced by his design background. Even though most of his imagery is conceived in the digital realm, Rohan still accesses his ability to use traditional artistic processes such as Polaroid transfers, emulsion lifts, mixed media, classic black and white and color film photography. Rohan combines his avante garde approach to imagery with a keen sense for design and how it relates to advertising. This combination allows him to create visuals that stimulate the mind, body and soul.
