I wish I could give these guys no stars… (Aside: this is my first serious review ever) This was the biggest waste of time and money of my entire career. It seems like they hire freelance writers hoping that they have resume writing skills… well guess what. THEY DONT. Their just looking for a job that pays them while they do other writing. My first resume writer had no idea what my profession was and had no idea what to write, she pretty much used the same sentences of my old resume and changed words, it also had spelling mistakes. My second resume writer was a little better but still bad. He obviously did not know what a resume should look like, I am not in business or marketing, I don’t need fancy fonts… I don’t need to put simple skills on to a section called «Core Competencies», these should be shown in my experience! All in all, this costed me over 300+ dollars, I still don’t have a job, I only started getting interviews after I MYSELF completely changed my resume and did my own writing and got someone in my field to go over it. HAHA complete BS that they guarantee services until you land a job. They stopped talking to me entirely after the second writer sent me my resume. I wish I could get my money back because I don’t even want their services.

Key words: overpriced ($ 350), low-​quality, just well-​advertised — would NEVER recommend them even to my enemy — save your money and go to those helper-​associations where you’ll get it done for free (high quality work, no rush).
This is clearly a start-​up company with a very cool renting office location (bay/​dundas) and professional phone manners. But if you go there and see it for yourself, you’ll find a one-​day-​as-​if-​temporary-​set-​up look — 4 – 5 cubicles with phones and computers, a poor-​looking conference room with 5 books on the shelves such as «business for dummies», «how to do marketing successfully», «where to go from here» etc. Their staff is young and super busy — 3 days for a $ 350 worth cover letter and resume (I doubt they spend more than 1h per piece) is not enough.
I called them initially to see what to expect — a guy was this super-​fast talker, true marketing pearl, who will sell you a roll of toilet paper for $ 100 — don’t get fooled by it. He assigned me to a writer who was apparently familiar with job positions I was targeting.
I decided to go in, instead of phone/​email back-​and-​forth communication.
My resume writer was very unprepared prior to meeting with me — despite several files I have sent earlier (several days): my old resume, job posting of jobs I wanted, detailed description of my past and current positions. I was waiting for her to go through my files right in front of me — very unprofessional.
After receiving my first draft I realized she didn’t know me at all and had no idea what I needed. It was very disappointing. She didn’t quite had the key words down for my previous positions and she was not familiar with pharmaceutical company positions at all! I’ve sent her another file with positions I wanted in addition to my edited resume and cover letter.
The second copy seemed also very rushed — with grammar mistakes, poor add-​ons. This time the key words were there, however a total miss on matching them my previous experiences etc — just a mess. I wish they didn’t have that 2 – 3 day deadline period, I think they destroy the quality of their work by rushing.

Worst customer service! Highly overpriced service that lead to no job interviews and even after I complained, they gave me a hard time trying to restructure my resume. Not only is this a quick cash scheme, they do not live by any real customer service principles. One can find a better quality resume writing service than Resume target.

Worst resume writing service ever. Just copied and pasted what I wrote in my old resume to new format. Dont go there its waste of money.
