I have a love hate relationship with this place. I had been going here for years dealing with changing stylists(frequent turnover it seems) appointments being made when the salon was closed and dismissive attitudes. I only stuck with the place because they did such great hair. That all changed when about 3 months ago I made an appointment for my usual services. I called the salon the day before(after an unanswered email sent 3 days prior to this) to confirm the price. My services Prices yo-yod every time I went and are nowhere near what is quoted on the website. So I get the manager on the phone and she informs me that the salon has had a flood and that I would have to get my hair done at the Scarborough location. Easy enough right? Except I drive 2 hours into Toronto specifically to get my hair done, so an extra 40 minutes or so is definitely a piss off. I asked her why I didn’t recieve a phone call informing me of this, her response adding«Sweety» and«love» was that they didn’t get all the client information from the other salon. She did indicate however, that certain clients were contacted. I’m nearly on fire at this point I’m so mad. Pointing out to her that had I not called I would have been waiting outside of the salon for my appointment. So after being offered a free treatment I just cancelled. I decided to contact the owner via Facebook and have yet to get a reply. Urban textures just lost one… A very loyal client. I have since found a salon that gives better hair at half the price.

Good cut! The lady knew exactly what she was doing, but it was quite pricey — $ 30 for a mens haircut. As an aside, it was all black ladies in there. I didn’t feel unwelcome, just a bit out of place haha.

I would just like to say that I am soo upset with the service that I got at this hair salon. I was booked to have a deep conditioning treatment and hair cut with a specific hair stylist. When I got there the hair stylist hadn’t even shown up so I had to get my hair done by another hairstylist who was being trained himself. Along with that I was there for two and a half hours. I think that over two hours for a conditioning and cut is unacceptable. Oh, did I mention that it was almost 80 dollars!!! I would recommend going there if you have nothing to do with your days and want to spend an arm and a leg on getting your hair washed!
