Sean Orr Works is a boutique fitness studio and spin facility, specializing in personal training, with an emphasis on wellness, and balance. Clients are strengthened through weights, cardio, core and stretching exercises using the most modern machines and equipment. Each hour is tailor-​made to fit the individual’s needs.

History

Established in 2006.

Sean Orr Works was established in January 2006 at 145 Davenport Road. Initially this exclusive Yorkville boutique fitness studio catered to a select Forest Hill and Rosedale clientele, but grew and branched out to the wider downtown community.

The studio moved to its new Annex location in March of 2013. Located on the third floor of Toronto’s historic Faema building, former home of the Ford Motor Company, the new 2000 square-​foot facility boasts 12-​foot ceilings, wrap-​around windows and is decorated with a mixture of vintage old-​world pieces and the latest state-​of-​the art equipment. Six highly-​skilled and dedicated professionals offer clients a wide-​range of services; from fitness to rehabilitation. The space also features a private 550 square-​foot spinning room for morning and evening spin classes. The services and clientele have grown, but Sean Orr Works has not lost its intimate feel. Business Owner

Before studying to be a personal trainer, Sean Orr played football for the University of British Columbia’s Thunderbirds while majoring in physiology. After graduating, he was drafted in the second round by the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers. «Personal training was a natural extension of my sports background,» Sean says. In 1995, he moved to Toronto and worked for five years as a personal trainer at the renowned aerobics and training studio Body Alive.

Sean started his own venture, Sean Orr Works, in 2006. «You want to see people make a difference in their lives,» Sean says. «I want to see people strive for their best.»
