I was at Yonge and Eglinton wanting to kill some time waiting for someone. I had walked by a few bars up the street but they were all busy and noisy, not really the vibe I was looking for after a long day at work. I ended up hesitantly going into this place, thinking that it was only horsebetting but it turned out they had a full bar with a good selection. I was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable booths, some couches in the back and lots of tvs showing the races around the place. Their kitchen was on a night menu which was basically only wings and fries but those were definitely some good wings. The fries were hand cut from real potatoes it seemed and they were served with a creamy dill sauce much like St. Louis serves. It was a good meal, and turned out to be just the place I was looking for. Even if you’re not there to horse bet feel free to drop in, it’s still a really good place!
