I bought the Greek yogurt parfait and it was sour when I tasted it. Apparently the yogurt had turned and none of the baristas noticed either the cooler wasn’t cold enough or the yogurt had been out too long. Other Second Cup locations have much better food options. Very little variety at this one.(Usually only muffins, no crossaints, no cookies) oatmeal is usually sold out too.

Staff was rude, like they were having a bad day. Sort of made me and my friends uncomfortable. Won’t go back

I’m not one to give overly harsh reviews, but this place is almost consistently bad. I have the utmost sympathy for coffee employees as I’m a former Second Cup and Starbucks employee. I understand things can go wrong at times and people have their off days but it seems habitual at this Second Cup. Along with myself, all my coworkers agree that this SC cannot make good lattes, or even brewed coffee. The coffee is usually weak(weaker than standard) and kind of bitter, which suggests something is off with the amount of grinds they use or their brewers need to be fixed. The milk always tastes burnt. And I don’t even know what’s up with the espresso but it tastes horrible. I once asked for perfect cup(where employees can grind and freshly brew a coffee if it is not on brew) and was lectured on how it was too busy to be able to do that. I looked behind me and there were three people in line. There was three employees being the counter as well, so enough people to serve the other three customers in line in the 30 seconds it would take to make my drink. It doesn’t take long. I know. I use to do it every morning during morning rushes when I worked for SC and I was the only person behind the counter. It surely takes less time than a latte would. Anyway, I was fine with it but did not like the attitude of the person telling me this. She was rude and condescending. The café is often dirty. The employees here try, I can tell, but they just don’t seem trained properly. The store looks like it’s in too bad a state of disrepair to be able to produce good quality drinks. Sorry, it had to be said.

As far as Second Cups go, this fits the mold without providing an exceptional experience. However, there is almost always a gang of older men smoking cigars in the small patio. They always check out the women who pass by and it skeeves me out so much. They are creepsters! Of course, I don’t expect Second Cup to ask these representatives of the male species to vacate because they are creepy, but while they are hanging outside the patio, taking over it, I will not be visiting this coffee establishment.

Coffee is coffe but the staff here(especially the owners(baldish guy and red-head lady) make it always extra special. The wife tries to remember your order and your name if you are a regular and go there daily. The other workers are always pleasant too. I’ve never had an issue with my drinks here, and they are quite clean to pick up plates and garbage if tables need to be cleared. The only time I thought the male owner was unprofessional is when he was giving one of his workers crap about their work… take it to the backroom, you don’t have to make a scene in front of customers and especially embarrass your worker.
