This is a great place to go for a quick hair cut. Nothing fancy here, and they don’t even wash your hair unless you ask them to(for an additional small fee). I’ve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes and everyone is helpful and friendly. It was no problem when I asked if any of the stylists had a cord to charge my iPhone while I was waiting. I always get a great cut and the price can’t be beat! With tax and tip it’s just over 20 bucks($ 16 + HST + Tip) so it’s easy on my budget. Unless you have elaborate hair styling needs this is an amazing place, so do check it out!

Been here many times. Generally it is good. But today got an old white guy who was just plain nasty. He must hate working there because he’s never seen me there but was extremely unpleasant. Wouldn’t answer questions and made it clear I was a big bother. I always ask for the simplest machine cut with a uniform size all round. The resulting haircut was the worst I’ve received. I was unlucky not to get one of his colleagues, both of whom seemed much more pleasant. Good thing I have a trimmer at home to remedy the haystack he left on top. I usually tip 10 or 15%. I regret even the 5% I left him.

If you are looking for a cheap and simple cut I would recommend going to Top Cuts on King Street. I went to to this location for a trim and I must say that although they are typically crowded on a week day they are very fast in going through the list of people. I waited about 15 minutes for my hair cut which was not bad considering there were several people waiting ahead of me. The hair stylist I had was friendly and she did a fairly good job with my trim. Sure this place doesn’t have the added perks and glam of a salon but it is definitely someting to consider if you do not want to spend a lot of money for a trim.

If you’re a guy with short hair and you want a quick, no-fuss haircut at a reasonable price in the downtown core, look no further than this Topcuts, which is situated just east of Yonge on the the south side of King. I’ve been here probably a half dozen times and my wait is never longer than 15 minutes. The two stylists who I have worked with(Keith & Oleg) are both very professional, efficient and helpful. They will give you a great cut in a very short period of time, as well as provide honest feedback and won’t try to «up sell» you.
