History
Established in 1996.
After 2 years of filling the room at St. Mathius Church with students who still frequent her classes today, Kathryn Beet founded Yogaspace in 1996 in the alley beside the church off of Bellwoods Avenue. It was one of only six studio’s in Toronto at the time. The studio moved to it’s present location in 2004, and has been instrumental in the development of the Toronto Yoga community, having created programming and policy that has been emulated by studio’s throughout the GTA.
As the director of Yogaspace, Kathryn has successfully developed and maintained a strong, familial teaching team and staff alongside high quality, community relevant programming to support the therapeutic and educational needs of individuals new to the practice of yoga, as well as those seeking higher Yoga education.
