Blenz is known for their delicious rich chocolate drinks. The mochachillo is described on the menu board as being topped with whipped cream. Mine didn’t have any so I asked.. . «sorry we don’t have any.» «Ok, may I have some chocolate drizzle then please» «Sorry we don’t have that either» So my question is, is this even a real coffee shop? They get some credit for having hassle free wifi that doesn’t require those annoying unreliable access codes like other blenz locations.

30⁄100 This place is a dive when I asked isf she had any florentines she looked like i asked her to hand me a pile of crap. Anyway we went to find a seat and found these two old, crappy chairs. yuck. That cleared up any ideas I had at getting food. Gross.

I find the staff to be distant or even rude.

I like other Blenz locations but this one is not as good as the others. Please note, I am basing my experience on multiple recent visits. I like other Blenz. But this one seems: –Consistently under-staffed –To not carry certain menu items that the other Blenz do –To have a long wait, sometimes with no one behind the counter(on a break? where did the staff go?) –To mis-understand my order(which is quite simple, happened 3 times now.) Perhaps lack of familiarity with the products? Lack of understanding of simple instructions? Look I am happy to revise my review of the next time(s) I go there, I have a better experience.

As a chain, Blenz is boring and predictable. The coffee is not so great, and the atmosphere is never that great. I‘ve been into this one a couple of times when the coffee shop up the street is closed. The place is always awkwardly quiet.

Almond latte was just ok(though still better than Starbucks). The most notable thing about this place was the chairs: fake leather chairs so old and peeled that the looked like they had some exotic skin disease. I got my coffee to go; so much for having a nice relaxing coffee shop morning…

Blenz is the Canadian equivalent of Starbucks and as such shares attributes such as: being on every corner, serving OK coffee, and being on every corner. Like Starbucks, the staff is mostly friendly, you can get snacks and a variety of beverages, and you know you can find one when you really need caffeine. I was not wowed by my latte and my BF didn’t like his mocha that much either. Sorry Blenz, next time I’m in Canada I’ll look for an independent coffee shop or even, gasp, turn to good ol Starbucks.

Didn’t let me down, but didn’t blow me away either. Only a few small round tables… difficult for any more than three people to sit together. The WiFi costs money(Telus) #fail. Air conditioning works, though. So, 10 points. ;-)

There are a few things about Blenz that I enjoy and even the coffee is one of them! As opposed to those OTHER chain cafes, Blenz actually makes pretty tolerable coffee, amongst other such great café attributes. The other things I like about Blenz include free wireless internet, chairs, tables and enough personal space to actually do a decent amount of work, are a few of the those things. I have no problems supporting a Canadian company over an American one and Blenz also allows me to do that. I’ve also found that Blenz has a decent selection of relatively healthy eats and snacks, definitely more than the usual coffee shop. Oh and this location in particular never gets so crazy that you can’t find space to chill out, inside or out.

Blenz is BC’s answer to Starbucks or better yet, Eastern Canada’s Second Cup. Just not as good. Place is contemporary and attractive and I ordered a ice blended Matcha Latte. Should’ve picked something else. Not the greatest consistency I’ve had in a frozen coffee(or in this case, tea) drink. Too bad Second Cup isn’t out here in BC or I’d prefer going there.
