Choices Markets

I’ll overlook the very high prices for everything, especially organic items. If you don’t want to comparison shop or don’t have a better local option, that’s your lose (the Produce Company on Broadway or any Donalds Market are much cheaper).
What really annoys me is Choices is breaking the penny rounding law. I just bought some bananas and paid with cash. The total was 1.57, and the cashier asked me for 1.60. I said with rounding it should be 1.55 and she just giggled. I paid the 1.60 and decided to write this review.
Maybe this is just a staff training issue, but I doubt it. This is the same place that puts up large, colourful, on sale signs for an item that is regularly 3.59, on sale for 3.49. I guess they count on their customers being poor at math.
Forgot to mention — another time I was at the cashier and the cashier was coughing a lot and then handling my produce. Yuck. Maybe management is too cheap to allow staff to take sick time. The staff sure don’t seem to be a happy bunch.

Super friendly staff here and the location feels like its been around since the 60’s (probably has). If you know Choices Market then its very typical of what to expect. If you dont then you must try and see as its one of the best organic food marts in town, with several locations, and a store thats has a huge health food supplement section and knowledgeable friendly staff.

I suppose if you want to buy almost expired dairy, this is the place. Living down the street from this joint, I stop by and pick up a few things regularly. Love the meat. Love the sales on potato chips. The DivaCup I purchased, however… that’s another story.
