Coal Harbour Marina

Kwokmun and I were walking around the Coal Harbour area with one of our friends when we ran into the Coal Harbour Marina. Apparently, he had already been there with out me… What’s with that!!! LOL… Anyways, I thought the place was a-​ok. I don’t have a boat, so I have no real reason to head there, except for the restaurants and sea life that was in the area. We looked into the water and there were loads of sea stars on the rocks as well as fish swimming around. I figure this means the water is clean and not stagnate like a lot of marinas. Overall, it was a good experience.

I love Coal Harbour.
Enjoy a nice jog along the walk way while the you have picturesque mountains and water beside you. Don’t feel like moving? Sit along one of the many benches and chat with friends. Starting to get a little hungry? Stroll into any of the restaurants which will promise you a great view along with a good meal. Want a little adventure? Purchase a ticket for an areal view of Vancouver from Harbour Air and fly in a sea plane. If you want to go a little further, you can also fly to Victoria, Nanaimo, Sechelt or Comox.
It really is an uncomplicated place for locals and tourists to take in all the beauty of Vancouver.

Coal Harbour is a great place to sit and watch the boats go by. There are several benches along the waterwall, and all have great views of the sea. The best part about the benches is the space in between them. There is enough room for you and your honey-​bunny to sit and chat without feeling like someone is listening in on your secrets.
There is also a boardwalk that wraps around the entire harbour. The seawall is about 5 miles long and it’s perfect for an afternoon jog. The harbour sits down at the end of Hastings street just before you take the road out to Stanley Park.
If you need a spot to sit and relax on the grass, smell the ocean air, or have a peaceful walk with your schmookins, I recommend Coal Harbour.
