Eat Well Do Good Foodraiser

This year was the 7^th year of the annual Eat Well Do Good Foodraiser, but the first that I’ve attended. I actually found out about the event through one of my fave foodie celebs, Erin Ireland!
The 1-​day-​only affair featured an Organic Café & Marketplace that popped up in the middle of the Robson Square Ice Rink on Oct 8, 2015.
The café served breakfast for a $ 5 donation, and lunch for a $ 10 donation. The donations were in support of local BC food banks — such a great cause!
I went at lunch and had a hearty meal consisting of Que Pasa nachos, a Silver Hills bakery grilled cheese sandwich, savoury soup from Pacific Foods, an açai dessert bowl from Sambazon, some RISE kombucha, & coffee from Ethical Bean. Everything was delicious, but made even more so because I knew that the donations went toward helping the hungry!
I browsed the marketplace too, but since I was heading back to work after, I didn’t get any groceries to go.
Together, this year’s event managed to raise $ 211,748 in value of food for food banks in BC! Truly a great cause that I’m proud to have contributed to. Eagerly looking forward to next year’s event!
