History
Established in 2014.
Kim Gillett first discovered yoga at an early age and immediately found the practice to have profound healing and transformative impacts on her physical, mental, and spiritual bodies. As she followed the path, she also noticed rising improvements in her relationship with herself and the world around her and saw the practice as a powerful bridge between intellect and experience. The positive effects of yoga rippled throughout her life so greatly that Kim acquired her 200-hour teaching certificate from the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga and began to share this infinite practice with others. Trained in Classical Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga systems, Kim has also spent many years working in fluid movement and the art of perception and embodied awareness with her mentor and dear friend, Penny Allport. Her style of teaching honors the body’s innate wisdom and invites us to turn our attention inward to the felt sense of human experience and reveal our own ability to heal.

Kim Gillett has been practicing yoga at varying depths and degrees since the late 90’s and is now sharing her love for the practice through teaching. Continually inspired by her journey, Kim is an eternal student of life and believes we all have the capacity to be at peace within ourselves and in our surroundings. With the personal mantram «live in love», Kim embraces the ebb and flow of existence and seeks to discover and share all practices toward achieving balance in hopes that one day we can all enjoy the gift of life.
«Yoga is both the method and the result. It is an ancient practice revealed in stillness and silence that requires only one’s self to be achieved. We are our own healers; we are everything we need. Through simple and continuous practice, we can calm our bodies and our minds and return to our truest selves. We only have to begin and watch the practice reveal itself.»
