Just Juice

Little juice place tucked in amongst some storefronts at the corner. I took the advice of previous reviews and got the Pink Lady, it was excellent.

When I travel I try to find a local cold pressed juicer. Just Juice offers 13 different juice creations, ranging from $ 8 – 11 for a 16 oz. glass jar. I was recovering from a cough and I was in town for a race, so I wanted to try anything to help me feel better faster. I started with one of their health shots. The COUGH DROP with lemon, ginger and cayenne seemed about right. The more shots you get, the cheaper it is. One will run you $ 3.75, two will cost $ 7 and three will total $ 9. For my full-​size juice, I choose the HEALTH ROCKET made with pineapple, carrot, orange, coconut water, ginger, turmeric, black pepper and lemon. For those who are unfamiliar with cold pressed juices, the prices here may seem high but you get what you pay for. A lot goes into that jar. I enjoyed the Health Rocket a lot and I liked walking around drinking from a jar. :) The shot is a bit pricey though. I can definitely get more for less in LA.
This is really a grab and go place.

The owner, can be found behind the counter with the other staff, putting in the work to see his business through to success. The other employees are knowledgable about the health benefits of each juice and their ingredients. All very friendly people that have the awesome attitude, which contributes to the great energy of this room.
The individual juices are prepared fresh, and then mixed into the exact flavour or medicinal desires of each customer, they use shot glasses and martini shakers to create each drink. A cool approach
Whether you are trying to find a healthy solution for that sweet tooth, or looking to take an organic/​non-​pharmaceutical route in a true Heath matter, this is your spot

Some of their smoothies are alright but some of the juices was not freshly mad. e A bit pricey for my liking. Service was alright but can be better. Staff was not smiley and seemed stressed

I have been here a few times. I don’t know if I’m a picky eater or what but I never seem to like the smoothie that I choose. Had the strawberry shortcake today (sounds delicious right?) It’s so spicy?! There is so much ginger in it (at least I think that is what it is) that I can feel it burn in my chest! I think the place is a little over priced too.
On my previous visit my smoothie must have had a date without the pit removed because there were what appeared to be little rock bits in my beverage.
I’m not a juice person but if you are you would most likely enjoy the place. They seem to have a decent variety of juiced products.
Smoothies so far not my fav and very expesive however they are so close to my house I will most likely be back out of convenience and hope to find a smoothie I like.

Another juicery. Lately I have been on a juice kick. It has been so hot outside that cold press juices have been my healthier option compared to ice caps and slurpies. Rather than drinking empty calories I find it more beneficial to be drinking something a little more meaningful for my body. I am a huge fan of the fruit and veggie blend. Nice store layout. Take out options. The prices are fair market with all the other cold press juiceries in the city. People here are super friendly.

Nothing beats a glass of freshly cold pressed juice on a hot summer day! The staffs are very friendly, and this place got more awesome because they’ve started to use reusable jars instead of plastic cups. My personal favourite is the pink lady, sweet and refreshing. This place is a must try for this summer!

Popped into «Just Juice» yesterday on my way back from the dog park. I had a few drinks the eve before, so I reckon my liver needed a good green slap in the face. I just knew I’d feel better after a juice. Perhaps just my way of not feeling guilty about drinking the night before. More of a guilt balancer than a liver cleanser I think. Anyway, went in and contemplated which $ 8-​$ 9.5 cold pressed juice was the one for me to curb my hangover. Finally decided on «the pink lady». Went in to dig out my remaining monies and to beat all hell I had no money! A couple walked in behind me and seen my distress and offered to pay for me. Holy shit they made my day and my guilt and hangover go away! Soooo needless to say the juice definitely tasted even better than if I purchased myself. Not sure if I’m writing a review about the juice but rather the kind couple that took care of me in more ways than I’d like to let on. Juice was good. Samaritans even better. Oh yea… I forgot… The expiry on the juice was dated for June 1 2015. Fuck. So much for a clean liver. Ballz. Gonna have a drink.

The thing I like about this juice place that is different than others is the selection. They have green juices and fruit and berry juices unlike other fresh juice places that only have green or root juices mainly. And they can make any mix you want it’s not already pre bottled. I always get green juice but my bf can’t handle the taste, too earthy, so they always have something for both of us :) also have a good variety of health shots, add ons and snacks.

I walked in here on a whim, having read about juice cleansing only a couple of hours prior. I had actually only intended to EVENTUALLY do a juice cleanse and, after talking to the guy at the counter, I wound up walking out of the store with 6 juices ready to go for the next day!
Typically they ask you to call at least 24 hours in advance so that they can ask you a few questions and tailor a cleanse based on the conversation, but since I walked had just walked in, I took the juices they had ready to go: 1 x health rocket (orange, pineapple, coconut water, ginger & lemon), 2 x green thumb (apple, cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, coconut water, ginger & lemon), 1 x garden on tap (beet, carrot, celery, apple, kale, spinach, ginger & lemon), 1 x pink lady (raspberry, beet, pineapple, pear, coconut water & ginger) and 1 x blue-​green lagoon (cucumber, pear, pineapple, blueberry, spirulina, coconut water & lemon).
Let me preface by saying this: I LOATHE celery. As in a deep, deep hatred. So the green thumb and garden on tap were not my favourite… at all. The health rocket tasted incredibly citrusy (more lemon than anything else), but I absolutely LOVED the blue-​green lagoon. I’m only sorry that the «cleanser» (cucumber, pineapple, lemon, aloe vera, coconut water & chia seeds) was not included for me to try. I will definitely be more prepared next time I try this out.
The guy at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful (hence me unexpectedly walking out with a 1-​day cleanse!) Total cost for 1-​day cleanse was $ 63 (taxes in). I was to have all 6 bottles within the day, approximately 2– 3 hours apart, with water/​unsweetened coconut water in between. I found that for someone who was such little willpower when it comes to resisting good food, I thought this cleanse (despite the fact that it was only a day-​long affair) would be a lot harder than it was. I was NEVER hungry throughout the day. What I did feel, however, was a longing for something yummy. I like vegetables and fruits as much as the next person, but to have nothing at all to eat throughout the day BUT fruits/​vegetables was the most unsavory experience of my life. Too bad more vegetables don’t taste like cake. Or steak.
I’m glad I did it, and will likely do it again — eventually. But do your research, folks! It’s not for everyone.

I’m not a smoothie person. I’m a juice person. I have a juicer and I enjoy juicing, however there are always people who point out I’m removing all the nutrients and just getting the sugar and juice from my fruits and veggies. For this reason I appreciated learning about the cold pressed juicing process. I enjoyed seeing my juice being shaken in a martini shaker and strained but still getting some of the chunks in my juice. Yes, it can be pricey, but I don’t mind paying $ 8.50 for something so healthy and natural since I know I usually pay that or more for something unhealthy like a burger without even batting an eyelash. If you’re in the neighborhood stop by and refuel with a juice from here.

How does this place have so many great reviews? I’m assuming just juice subscribes to Unilocal so the negatives get buried. I’ve tried this place twice now. I got a not very big green smoothie the other day for $ 9. It was okay but certainly not worth nine fucking dollars. I tried the chocolate awesomeness smoothie this morning because a chocolate peanut butter smoothie sounded like a great idea but awesome it was not. It was bitter, bland and had the consistency of a milkshake left in the sun. This place is dead to me. Unless you shit money out of your ass this place is way too expensive. Even if you do shit money give it to someone more deserving.

«Do you have something for a bad attitude?» was my question yesterday when I went for my daily juice at JustJuice (been going there daily for about 6 weeks now). Without skipping a beat I was asked to elaborate on my poor attitude and was promptly recommended The Healing Root off of the menu and exactly why it was a good fit for my request. I then let him know that my 5-​year-​old daughter was not feeling well either. Again, he asked me specific questions and put together a custom drink just for her. Not only did he manage to turn my bad attitude around before I even had my drink but my daughter loved her concoction despite being full of ingredients she had never seen before.
6 weeks ago I was appalled at the idea that anyone would spend $ 8 for a glass of juice, now it is my favourite part of my day and I could not imagine skipping. In fact, yesterday I almost went back for another one later in the day! Now, as for cost, we addressed this with the staff there and everyday has been like going to juice school. I really do feel like there is huge value in the money we are spending to have organic juices catered to our specific needs. Also, to address the cost even further, I simply upgrade to a 20 oz. and split it with my wife.
In case I have rambled and not made myself clear, obviously I could juice myself or simply go somewhere else but the staff have made it a very personal experience for me and my family. Service is the difference. I hope you have the same great experience when you visit.
Originally I was only going to give JustJuice 4 stars because I wish it was open earlier!!! I realized how selfish that was and how 4 stars just did not fit all of the words I had written above. I do still look forward to the day they open at 6am but for now I will wait patiently outside until 7:01 (just so I am not rude due to my eagerness).

Walking on Davie, I noticed a Juice Bar by Thurlow and decided to give it a try. To my surprise the owner (TJ) who is an old friend runs the place. TJ is one of the nicest guys I know and it was great seeing him again. He helped pick out a juice which tasted amazing and fresh. You can see where I’m going with this. Knowing TJ, the service you’ll get will be great. Just tell him what pain points you may have and he’ll figure out a combination of juices for you to feel better.
Great to see a young entrepreneur with extensive knowledge and love for what product he sells.
Give the place a try, It’s worth it.

I’ve been to Just Juice twice in the past 3 days since discovering it. Both TJ and Reza are incredibly knowledgeable on nutrition and crafting juices or smoothies to your taste and preferences. Tell them what you like and your taste buds will be amazed! Service, quality of ingredients and location are all great. Oh and they’ll custom tailor a cleanse for you if you ask!

Just had the green juice with all the great organic goodies. I was craving a juice (on a short cleanse and tired of eating so many veggies) and walking down Davie when I read the great Unilocal reviews and decided to give this place a try. I’m so glad I went there because it was hands down one of the best juices I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of juices (from Whole Foods, Gorilla Food, places on commericial and in Kits, lots of places in New York, and the Juice Truck which by the way I don’t recommend).
Reza helped me pick out the juice I was craving, added some carrots at my request and made a few suggestions. He really knows his juices. The taste was amazing and it was chilled perfectly! Definitely didn’t have a nasty vegetable taste like some other places. The price was a bit steep at $ 8, but for tasty, organic cold-​pressed juice (more nutritious and not the other pulpy kind), it was well worth it. There are also $ 4 options on the menu with less of greens that looked tasty for those who want more fruit. Reza also mentioned they do full juice cleanse or general health consultations. Both of the guys there have kinesiology degrees. Very cool.

Ok, so I’ve been looking for a juice/​smoothie place that used whole foods and was locally owned and operated and close to my house (west end) and BOOM I discovered this rad place. Best coffee I’ve had thus far in my life and my green juice kicked me off to an awesome start! Thanks TJ and Company — I’ll be back!

I’m not a guy that would normally juice. That’s just me… but honestly after visiting Reza and TJ, and trying their assortment of organic, gluten free juices, I’m a juicer! Not only are the products they serve top notch, so is their customer service focus. Do yourself a favor and make a trip in to visit these 2 and try the «Pink Lady» — it’s the bomb! ;-)
