I had the same experience as Emma T. below. We walked in at 6:30PM(prime dinner time), and it was completely empty. It was a huge space and empty at dinner time? That should’ve been our first clue. We sat down, looked through our menus, ordered 3 or 4 things(and were told they didn’t have them), before we finally settled on gyoza and a couple sushi rolls. There are pink«happy birthday» and«princess» balloons, and they were playing latin music. It was a very odd ambience. Then some man(I can only assume the manager or owner), came out without a shirt on. I have no idea why, but we almost walked out right there and then. We decided to wait and give them a chance; maybe the food would be good. 25 minutes later, our food had not come. How long does it take to make gyoza and 2 sushi rolls? We had an appointment in a short while, so we walked out. I can’t review what this place is like for a party, but I can definitely say this is NOT a place for walk-in customers. With so many other choices around, don’t waste your time coming here.

Let me paint you a picture: I walk in to this«4-star» restaurant and the place is the size of a large discount mattress store, filled with overstuffed lounge chairs around circular tables. ALL the lights were off, and the sun had just set, and it appeared as if there was an electricity shortage. We were seated at the window, so luckily we could read the menus by streetlight and watch the tv through the apartment windows across the street. The menus looked like a work in progress(or more like collapse, their staples holes pleading to be filled, a disarray of papers with an abundance of stickers with handwritten prices over the original print). literally, quiet as a tomb, if you discount the Broadway spinoff-remakes. I heard«Hernando’s Hideway» played 3 times in the course of an hour and a half. Let’s talk food. It was okay, sushi is very simple, proportions decent/large. They were out of a lot of the things on the menu(i.e. salad –who’s out of salad?). The waiters were friendly, when they appeared from the dark shadows. It took forever for us to get the bill, and we left from the Twilight zone never to return again. My father later described it as «a Chinese-Canadian Edward Hopper» so art experience enthusiasts should go?

Located in Tinseltown Mall this place rocks for 2 reasons: free parking in the mall and $ 7.99 fill it yourself take out boxes. Me and a friend can split a box filled to the brim with sushi and cooked food for under $ 5! It doesn’t get more economical than that. The sushi is fair, and better than T&T’s next door.

I recently came here for a ex-co workers retirement party, and i have to say that the food here was delish! lets start with the restaurant shall we??! when we came in, i saw that it was very spacious, inviting, warm, CLEAN, and modern. its even had a dance floor and a stage where people can show off their karaōke skills and dance it up. now to the food. Lots of choices from chow mein, gyoza, stir fried veggies, yam tempura, general tsos chicken, baked oysters with that cheese or mayo on top, to what seemed like an endless array of fresh sushi AND deep fried sushi as well!(oh man so good!!) ANDSOMUCHMORE… and for dessert, Chinese doughuts, cream puffs(my fav) ice cream… you get the idea. Everything was amazing! and on top of that, the service was freakn TOPNOTCH!(i hope the service is like this everyday) always checked to see how we were doing. and always refilling my soda, without even calling her!!! im loving this place already! needless to say, im glad i went ! im never gonna lose weight at this rate. :(oh well!

Located on the second level of the International Village in Tinseltown. Ate the buffet which was very good. Lots of variety. Didn’t expect the $ 21 buffet/per person price plus drink. Service was prompt and good until the end, when the person taking the money completely ignored most of the guest to help others. The food was hot and fresh. The cold items were kept separate from the hot items. Good for a date night.

This new establishment on the 2nd level of Tinseltown mall is just starting to catch on with locals. Kenti Zen is a huge space with room for banquets and special occasions, including a dance floor and gasp! A disco ball! They’ve done a lovely job on the décor and have put true attention into the cuisine. We indulged in the all-you-can-eat fusion buffett, a concept I am generally wary of, but nevertheless, it was great! Along with fresh sushi, there were Chinese dishes like beef and vegetables, Vietnamese deep fried spring rolls, as well as baked oysters with cheese, along with a large variety of vegetarian options. The choices seemed endless and everything was downright tasty. They also have a full menu with options for Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. I ordered a blossom tea and settled in to devour as much as I could!
