Complex large renovation — 6 exhaust fans, 2 kitchen exhaust fans, 2 dryer vents. Kirklands came when they said they would and did the job quickly and efficiently. No quote but the price was exactly as estimated. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Use these guys.

I can’t comment on their workmanship or product because I never even made it up to their showroom area. I was there wanting to inquire about my options of either fixing my older gas fireplace or purchasing a brand new one instead. But the staff working on the ground floor was so rude that it totally made me feel like just walking out the door and not dealing with them.

Does this give you a hint… Just received a letter from the city inspections dated April 2015. Seems Kirkland didn’t fill out the paperwork and we do not have final inspection approval from a job done in 2008!
After installing our gas fireplace in 2008, we found that it makes a horrendous noise when you use the remote. Other people seem to have nice quiet switches on the wall. Why wouldn’t we be warned not to buy this fireplace? The employees don’t care about the customer. Avoid this business.

I phoned on Friday afternoon to report a leak from our hot water tank. A man from their office came right away to check and immediately phoned his office to send someone else out — because we did need a new hot water tank and it takes two people to load the old one out and a new one in. Before they left, they vacuumed the furnace room floor, dusted fixtures around the tank, and replaced everything — tools and file boxes — that they had moved. I was very pleased with their overall service.
However, our City needs to be taken to task for the dirty water that spouted out of the new tank. It was explained to me that our water is clean but the City’s pipes are not cleaned often enough.

Do not recommend this company. Our experience was one of being ripped off on prices. Charging fees that are highly exaggerated compared to other companies and with a poor attitude to discuss or adjust. We are not looking for service providers to work for nothing but being charged almost double the going rates for simple service, well, that says it all about their way of doing business.

Avoid this place like the plaque. I thought they had gone out of business. If I had known they only had moved, I would have reviewed them earlier. I hired them to install air conditioning in my mint heritage home. Their installation was awful. First off, they tell you that they don’t patch any holes that they make. This should have been my first warning sign. When hire someone to install heating and air conditioning, there is inevitably going to be holes in the wall or floors. Basically, you are going to have to hire another contractor and/​or a drywall person to clean up the the hatchet job they will do to your house. They were so unskilled, they opened a hinged crawl space door and ran the vent through the opening. I now can’t close my crawl space. To make matters even worse, since that crawl space had access to the outside, I then got rats in the house! Finally, they ran the drip line to the side of my house instead of running it to a drain five feet away from where they placed the drain. I now have water damage to the house!
They installed a high velocity system. I don’t know if high velocity systems suck or if they just installed it incorrectly. Whenever the system comes on, it sounds like a jet engine came on. It runs for a short while and then cycles off.
If you want quality work, don’t use this company!

Poor timing! We called once before for an appointment back in October. The guy gave us a time he would be coming by and we waited home all day and he never showed up. Finally we call them to double check why they are held up and they said that they wouldn’t be able to make it after all. Then they rescheduled to come the next morning. The problem was resolved on the appointment in October (our pilot light wouldn’t stay on). Recently, our furnace acted up again and we thought we’d give them a call. Someone told us they would be at our place between 10am-​12am. I waited home all morning and no one showed up. My 6 month old baby and I are freezing because we have no heat. Called them at 12:30pm and they said the guy was still at another job and won’t be at my house until another hour. Unbelievable. I had to cancel a lunch appointment just to wait around my house all day for them. Very unreliable with their time estimates.
I’m looking for another business to deal with from now on.
