The prices at Lian’s has gone up, while the quality has gone down. $ 7.50 for two items with steamed rice and $ 4.50 for one item and steamed rice, add a dollar more for noodles or fried rice. The other day I ordered spicy pork with steamed rice, the pork was battered and made with too much baking soda and more fatty pieces then meat. I also had two spring rolls that were rubbery, not fresh. The dim sum, roast pork and beef stew are usually pretty good. You can tell the beef stew is fresh when it’s steaming and the daikon pieces are white. The staff have a habit of mixing old food with fresh food, so make sure what your getting is actually fresh. Also, they don’t wash their veggies, so buyer beware…

Cheap, always hot, no nonsense, quick Chinese fix. Ignore the sticky floor. $ 12 bucks for 2 people with leftovers. No expectations. Not the least bit fancy. 4 stars for what it is. We go often.

One of the worst in the greater vancouver area, low quality greasy food. I can see they are busy simply because their prices are cheap, but hey as they say“You are what you eat”.

Primarily a take out place, it does the job. A quick stop in to feed the kids quickly. Lots of seating with plastic chairs and dirty, some times sticky tables. Standard steam table with lots of choices. Even if you eat in they serve you with Styrofoam and plastic forks. tacky at best. Bbq pork and duck hang in the window. lots of frozen buns and pot stickers in the wall freezers. It just has an unclean feel to it in the eating area. Also the tea dispensing area could be better, with a more professional set up. An upgrade in the tables and seats would help a lot. They get 2 stars because of value and selection of food. Cash only

Feel so satisfied with a meal only cost me around 7 dollars. Yay! Nice quick restaurant with so many different kinds of stir fry and deep-fried things. Their deep-fried shrimp and octopus are great!

While the value and quantity is amazing, the quality is extremely lacking. Over cooked vegetables and meat sitting under heat lamps. Who knows how long that food has been sitting there. The tables and floor were also really dirty. The décor is soul sucking. It’s edible and I didn’t get food poisoning so I’m grateful for that, but otherwise, continue walking.

Half bakery/half fast food/half meat where you can get duck/chicken/pork fresh. Good prices but didn’t find overall good enough that i’ll come back. Typical hole in the wall mentality, good amount of table seating in the middle, more like an in-and-out. Had the chicken/rice/veggies combo w/rice for $ 6.95, ok portion. Also sell frozen dim sum along the right wall there, pretty good selection but i’m not a fan of re-cooking frozen food. On the ‘buffet side’, you can choose anywhere from 2 food items, typical things like chow mein, fried rice, sweet & sour pork, etc. with those bulging heat lamps lol. Nothing else like this in the hood so it’s not bad for novelty!

Great value! Dim Sum is fantastic and fantastically inexpensive! Cash only place, but who needs a credit or debit card when it’s so cheap!

* Typical Chinese steam table quick food * I’m not proud. Sometimes I just need a quick filling inexpensive meal. I tried going to Money BBQ( ) across the street. But left when seeing the sanitary conditions. Enter Lian Hong. This is a bakery/food counter that would fit in perfectly in many malls in Richmond or Hong Kong. While the quality at some of the spots down in Richmond is a bit higher when you don’t want to head all the way down there, this will do. Had a plate with flat noodles, maputofu, roast chicken, and veggies for a very reasonable $ 5 and change. The noodles were not overly greasy, the maputofu was silken smooth and nicely spiced, the roast chicken had a nice crispy skin and very moist meat, and the veggies we typical steam table veggies(slightly overdone from sitting there for a bit). Not gourmet food. But fast, inexpensive, and filling.
