Locket Hair Salon

I was tempted not to write the review that Simona and the Locket gals deserve, for fear of them becoming so busy that I can’t ever get an appointment! That’s a legitimate fear, cause they’re awesome. My hair is thick and curly, so it’s hard to find someone that knows what they’re doing and Simona definitely does. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, so stop in, grab a beer and you’ll go home looking like a rockstar!

Simona has been my hairstylist for a few years. She always does wonderful work and never makes me feel bad about my thick coarse dry hair. She somehow manages to wrangle it into something beautiful every time I leave the salon. I love how she always is willing to work with the hair ideas I bring to her to make them work with my problematic hair. On top of her awesome work, she’s also fast, warm and friendly.
When she ventured on her own to open Locket Hair Salon, of course I had to follow her there. The space feels modern but also warm and inviting rather than snotty and overly trendy. Prices are reasonable and parking is easy to find around the area. You can even book an appointment online which really makes things convenient.
Of note, Locket also does a great job keeping up their Facebook and Instagram accounts so you can always get new ideas and inspiration for your next appointment. (For instance, I’m going to inquire about their Pro Fiber treatment next time I’m in. The before & after photos they took looked amazing.)
I can’t recommend Simona or Locket Hair Salon enough to anyone looking for a great hair experience.

Amanda is a hair wizard of some notable repute! She managed to tame my Samson-​like locks and gave my man-​beard a good sculpting, but unlike Samson, I RETAINED my super-​strength and manliness, without turning into one of those «Skinnyjeans McManbun» types that are all too frequent in this neighbourhood. I highly recommend her (and Locket) for your gentlemanly styling needs!

Came here to see Amanda and she is the absolute best! Had two terrible hair appointments prior to this and had lost all hope until Amanda swooped in and saved the day. I went to her for a grey/​white bleach out having come in with a saturated blonde ombré and it turned out perfectly. I have people stopping me in the streets telling me they love it.
Also may I add, you can’t beat this price. My hair appointment was 100 $ less then my last two… Nuff said

I’ve been going to see Simona for years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. She always starts with a consultation of what I’m looking for and is happy to offer suggestions if needed. I’ve never been less than completely happy when I leave. Simona is super friendly and sweet — getting my hair done by her is like catching up with an old friend. Her new salon is beautiful, and the complimentary wine is a great perk!
