I received a loose leaf tea, lychee black tea, as a gift. It is surprisingly delicious, smooth and fragrant. Flavour is subtle, natural tasting and taste like a high end black tea. I have never visited the shop but the tea I received has made it a must visit place for great teas.

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Unilocal on September 4th and decided to book mark this for future reference. The fact that it is close to the record store that I go to on the weekends is a bonus. Double bonus points for their reasonable hours of operation. This place is really small. They have Limited but quality selection. Customer service was okay but it was a little uncomfortable that she was watching me like a hawk as I was trying to make a decision. Maybe I noticed it more cause the place was so tiny. Just a heads up that they’re cash or debit only.

Whammy Peach Blossom Earl Grey Tea Latte! It’s also da spring special. Flawless customers service! Good job guys keep that smile! As it was not cheat day I didn’t try their… FERREROROCHERMILKSHAKE! Awwwwww… Sounds so delish to me… Also I really want to stop by for trying their red velvet cup cake… They seem a lil bit smaller than I am used to but… I definitely wanna give a shot next time I’m around. Also they advertise for 3.75 $ you can get a dark roast coffee and a cup cake… Hmmmmm Hmmmmm… So happy together ;)… So yep I definitely want to encourage them… It’s a lil bakery but it’s located in a brand new building… So… That’s sound great to me!

Came in for cupcakes. Took them to go as the place is small and even though there was nobody in there, my kids wouldve torn the place apart in no time. Not much ambience anyway. Counter help was so so. Not sure she smiled or seemed thrilled to have us there. But maybe just bummed she wasn’t out enjoying the nice Sunday weather. The cupcakes themselves were hit & miss. We got 3 kinds. The red velvet were bland(like a previous reviewer said) and a bit stale. The hummingbird and chocolate were good, but I wouldn’t hurry back. We didn’t get anything to drink. Overall, they were above a grocery stores cupcake, but below others around town. I’ll make the trek to sweet-e in kerrisdale over this place anyday.

I’ve walked by this a few times(and driven by their Cambie location a few times) and thought I’d finally try it out. The place is pretty small so it’s mainly for take out(there is a small window bar area) but I can imagine it getting busy in the summer. I didn’t get a chance to try their lattes(I had just gotten a drink from another place) but my coworkers did and said it was decent(she had the Red Cappucino). The baked goods looked pretty good on display but I wish it tasted as good as it looked. My coworkers and I all shared the Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lychee cupcake and this Hummingbird cupcake(it was like banana cupcake with icing). The lychee cupcake and red velvet seemed pretty bland to me. The cake part was bland and the icing/frosting part was super sweet. But the carrot cake saved the day(it usually does!). It made me feel better about paying $ 6 per slice! I’d come back to try their lattes or their other drinks(they have a good variety of coffees and teas) but I’d probably pass on their baked goods.
