DON’T COMEHERE!!! VERYDISHONESTPLACE! For one, I bought a soya sauce chicken today and they DIDNOT tell me in advance that it was free range. It turned out to be $ 18. Secondly, I ordered a WHOLE chicken. When I opened up the boxes over dinner later that night, both thighs were missing, and only ¼ of the chicken breast was there. These bbq places usually steal a few pieces here and there, but the amount they took was just ridiculous. We were left with all the meatless parts. Unfortunately, by the time we were having dinner it was too late to bring it back to complain and the store was closed. As I left the store/restaurant, I heard the lady who chopped up my chicken ask a dine-in customer what he wanted to have, and she suggested chicken to him… I’m pretty positive that she was offering the chicken that she stole from me. If this is how they treat their customers, I trust they will close down soon.

* Excellent value duck noodle soup * This little Chinese BBQ house has very friendly service, and some very VERY reasonable specials. I ordered the BBQ duck noodle soup($ 4.50). The soup stock was standard Cantonese fare. Not overly MSGed either. The noodles were prepackaged rice noodles that were a bit overcooked, so they tended to break apart more than they should. The duck was nicely done though. The skin was crispy, being properly rendered, while the meat was extremely juicy and well seasoned. Photo: Hard to beat the price for a quick lunch or afternoon snack though!

This place has excellent bbq and roast pork. It’s one of my staple foods. I ordered a whole roast pig for a dinner party. They needed a few days lead time for it but it was worth the wait. It impressed my guests and really annoyed my vegan friends.

This place has been recycled a few times, first as a sushi place, then a HK-style, think it was called Lavendar before I even got to try it, and now this. Came here on a last-minute pickup, their half-portion of bbq duck for $ 10 sure beats the hassle of going to Chinatown or Richmond, less lineups too lol. Some table seating, and quite clean. Parking’s dreadful here.

There are many eateries in Victoria Dr between 41st and 49th Ave, but for Chinese style BBQ meat, MK seems the only one. This fairly new hole in the wall type restaurant has only 7 tables & obviously is family business owned and operates by mom & dad(or grandpa?). I see lots of take outs while I was eating in, it looks very promising! The place is small but it provides many kind of meat to choose: chicken, duck, pork, sausage, intestines… Lunch special starts at $ 3.99 up to about $ 10 or so. Food taste is above average and service is 7 out of 10 because they are kinda slow(too busy or slow hands?). All in all, I will return for more coz I like Chinese BBQ meat & there are limited choice around the neighborhood…
