Upscale kitsch Kwai stuff. Not my cup of tea but fun to look at. The downfall is the lack of focus on theme and too many random stuff. You have upscale clothes and jewelry mixed in with kiddie Kitsch stuff. Odd really.

This place has been turned into a weird store with a bunch of tacky stuff. It used to have really good stuff in there. I still pop in there though as you never know what you might find. The staff are always pleasant. I just find it a bit overwhelming with all the cheesy stuff now.

I totally agree with all the comments before me on how the name of the store can be misleading. There isn’t a whole lot of «then“s in the store. There are some clothing but hardly memorable. I was just here half an hour ago and I don’t remember a single piece of clothing items except that I remember there are items hung on some racks. However, it is a great place looking for Japanese household decorative knick knacks and fun electronic gadgets. It’s a fun place to look for something tthat you won’t see at Perks or any other ho-hum stores in any of the malls in the metro area(aka … you want your recipient to open your gift in front of everyone and you want everyone to ask you where you got the clock from … or you want everyone coming into your house and ask you where you got that MP3 speaker) If you are looking for a store that reminds you of Fillmore Street in San Francisco or the design districts in Helsinki or Stockholm, this is the place to go.

I can understand the recurring sentiments of confusion in the previous reviews. Walking in, at first glance anyway, it’s none too clear what they are selling. There’s a smattering of accessories by the cash desk, kitschy retro-styled lunch kits from the 50s hovering around the front, the mannequins are completely decked out in clothes that be hanging somewhere in the store and there are records stacked at the back. The name Now + Then implies that somewhere in the store, somewhere in their retail masterplan, the past and the present will somehow intersect in their merchandise. Instead, however, is a strange helter-skelter of clothes, knick-knacks, household stuff and, well, other random stuff. Individually, some of the pieces do stand out. Gathered together, everything gets lost in a crazy mess of merchandise. What first piqued my interest was this modernized looking flapper style dress, which was nowhere to be found upon entry. On the plus, side, everything is reasonably priced.

The confusion is rampant in this store, not in organization but in the sheer volume of things and stuff and doo-dads. The store itself is quite lovely and the service is impeccable, should you need some assistance finding whatever it is you came in here looking for. That being said, this ‘Lifestyle Boutique’ stocks glassware, tableware, art, photo frames, handbags, jewellery and plenty of things in between that are certainly not junk but are also incapable of being categorized. The men’s and women’s clothing is quite nice, I found some stunning high-end women’s tops and skirts, although you might not come in here for these items, it is definitely worth a gander. Overall, I would consider Now & Then to be a rather high-end gift store and a fun place to poke around for an afternoon, you never know what you might find!

What exactly are you selling? High end mens clothing? Japanese nick nacks? Lamps? Jewelry? say something Band aids? purses? the list goes on. I was confused by the assortment and found it hard to define your target market. However if your looking for something fun and quirky like pink puppy speakers for your Ipod then this is the place to get them. If your looking for something to dress up those paper cuts with a bandaid that looks like a strip of bacon… then this is the place for you. If your looking for a pack of tissues with nice religious sayings/fotos on them … then this is the place for you.
