5 stars for their Fish Pakora cooked fresh and very tasty Green Chutney. Takes about 5 – 10 minutes to make. The fish is moist and the spices are just right amazing flavour!

Hi. I don’t know how to explain my experience at this establishment. It was mildly traumatic for sure. I enjoy giving cheap hole in the wall establishments a chance because they sometimes turn out to be gems. Not the case here! I seldom have felt such disdain emanating towards me from a human being as I felt coming from the counter-lady who was either ill-equipped, or too busy(with the the complete emptiness of the restaurant) to answer such complex questions as «what type of meat can I have with the lunch special?» Or «how much does it cost?». I felt so bad by the end of the transaction that I wanted to tip her handsomely just to brighten her day, but the machine didn’t prompt me and I had no change. After discussing the myriad possibilities of how this woman may have come to develop such a staggeringly depressing outlook on humanity, my girlfriend and I decided to turn our attention towards enjoying the rest of the day, agreeing never to speak of Sartaj again. Oh yeah… the food was also bad.

Solid 2.5 stars if that makes sense lol. Their desserts selection isn’t as big as others in the area, nor as appetizing as one across which cant remember but anyhow… The gulab is just alright, had better at restaurants, maybe just a mental thing because of the décor. It is a quite small counter with a few tables in the back, with typical dining room chairs not matching lol. Credit cards OK.

My mother came here today and she ordered the cauliflower pakora and THECAULIFLOWERINTHEPAKORAWASMOLDY! What kind of establishment are these people running? Someone needs to call the health board ASAP, this is unacceptable! xx

Budget dining at its finest. Bizzarely, though, a lack of consistency in everything but deliciousness. You could say that they’re consistently inconsistent. My beloved samosa scarfer and I have indulged in our«regular order» of 6 samosas and a dipping sauce on a fairly regular basis now, and on our most recent visit, were charged $ 2.50($ 1.00 per three veggie samosas and $.50 for a large dipping sauce). Previously, we’ve been charged up to $ 4.00($ 1.00 per two veggie samosas and $.50 each for two small dipping sauces). I’m not complaining though… even at the higher price, it’s still one of the greatest cheap meals in Vancouver. Samosas can be a bit cold if you go near the end of the day, but many times we’ve gotten them piping hot. A fantastic deal if you get them 3 for a dollar, and soo good!
