SPAradise Mobile Spa

I booked Sparadise for a mother/​daughter pedicure party. The party was scheduled to run from 2:00 — 5:00pm. The math: 3 girls at 15 minutes each, 3 moms at 45 minutes each, equals 3 hours. As the hostess, I of course elected to go last. Aside from being polite, my guests would need time for their nails to dry so they could get their shoes on to go home.
Everything was going reasonably well, except that the clock rolled around to 4:50, 4:55, and the esthetician still had not started on me. I thought to myself, «Oh well, I just won’t get a turn.» With the other guests’ services I would still pay the min. $ 150. But the esthetician thought she could start me at 5:00. Well, there are two problems with that notion. 5:00 was the scheduled end of the party. Either I would need to be at the door helping my guests collect their things and seeing them off, or they’d stay on, in which case then I’d have to either cook or arrange for dinner. (My guests had a approx. an hour to drive home to start their own dinners.) In either case, I could not sit down and have a pedicure at 5:00. My window of opportunity was from 4:15 — 5:00, and that window had closed.
That was sort of a drag, but it was about to get worse. I was pretty upset to be told I’d have still have to pay for the pedicure I didn’t get! It wasn’t my fault. I hadn’t made a late cancellation; the time had run out. Can you imagine if you went to a salon for your appt, waited and waited, but because the esthetician was running behind time, she didn’t get to you until 45 min. late, and if you said you couldn’t stay any longer, you were told you’d still have to pay? In the end, they agreed to charge me half. You can decide for yourselves if you think that was fair.
That was not fun to have this heated, whispered discussion with the esthetician in the room next to my guests. My guests’ nails look good, but now they feel guilty for using up too much time. That was a sour note to end what was a nearly $ 200 treat for my guests!

My sister’s Bridal Shower is Apr.7, so I’ll finish writing my review after the event.
My main concerns are professionalism, cleanliness, expertise and ensuring the guests have a good time.
I liked the idea of a Spa Themed Bridal Shower, and their website was very easy to follow and organized, although I was also looking at another Mobile spa company, but the reviews on this one seemed good.
Good Customer service– with any good business, I have received prompt replies to all my emails. Plus, I’ve been in contact with the same person, Daphne.
The only negative for Customer service, you have to have $ 150 in services per esthetician… I have $ 260, so I’m in a bit of bind as this will take 3.5 hours with one esthetician to finish all the guests… and we still have a few bridal games and opening of the presents which all the guests want to be apart of.
Eventually, I got $ 300 worth of service so I did get 2 estheticians
Price– is a little high for some people, I’m having the mini-​spa party $ 20 per treatment which is one of the more cost effective packages lasting 15 min each.
Quality of Service– the 2 estheticians were great!, all my friends enjoyed their treatments! I would recommend this mobile spa as they came with all their equipment and didn’t leave a mess.
The one negative, I had to collect $ 20 plus tip from all the girls after they finished their treatment. I wish they would just collect it after each treatment, so I could have concentrated on all the other bridal shower activities.

We brought in SPAradise for my friends bachelorette party after deciding that our main goal was to have a fun, chilled-​out evening drinking nice wine and eating yummy sushi. They were responsive to our e-​mails and phone calls and worked around our last minute changes like pros.
The ladies showed up on time, had their own stools, brought along more than enough towels, had basins, garbage bins, their own soaps and lotions, and a lovely array of colours. I hadn’t a clue what I was doing since I never get my nails done, so as soon as she was finished were continued setting up the party only to find out we were ruining our nails. Comedy is watching two girls who never wear nail polish just get their nails done and try to open bottles of wine and sushi trays.
They also mentioned that their services are really popular for children’s parties, which certainly surprised us. But a chocolate facial sounds good at any age, so I can understand the appeal.
Pros: prompt, professional, very pleasant and was nice and clean.
Cons: each estetician needs a minimum of $ 150 worth of servies. We were at $ 280 and they were going to give us one person to do everyone’s nails, which is a bit crazy since two people started at 6pm and finished at 9pm. If it was just one person, we would’ve had people waiting for their service up to midnight.

This is one of the better mobile salons in town. I’ve tried others and this was the best one so far. The nail technicians here are very efficient, fast and friendly. Most importantly they do a beautiful job on your nails! Other places can do a really sloppy job, but this was not the case at all with SPAradise.
I gave them a try over the weekend for a Bridal thing, and everything went great, with all five girls in our party coming out happy and satisfied with prettily painted fingers and toes. The nail technicians were also very patient as we had a sweet 2 year old running around everywhere and the SPAradise girls gave hand and feet emery board keepsakes to everyone in our party.
They bring everything to you and you don’t have to do a thing. A few things to improve:
1) More nail polish selections would be nice. Though they get points for having the newest season of Opi colours, more nail polish selections would be nice.
2) Use of some kind of pumice stone would be nice. At the actual salons more time is spent on grooming the entire foot (dry, rough heels for example) and not just the nails.
3) More reasonable prices. I understand that you pay a bit more ($ 60 for the Express Mani/​Pedi)) for the convenience of having the spa come to your house, but with all the competitive spa prices out there, it’s really hard to justify using a mobile spa service all the time, and I really would like to use the services more than once a year when someone gets married.
Overall, I think SPAradise does a great job and I would use them again in the future. If you’re trying to think of a party idea for your next girl’s night, then this might be it. What’s better than Mani/​Pedi services right in the comfort of your own home where you can watch cheesy girl flicks, eat and drink and gossip all while being pampered?
