Description

Specialties

Suki’s hair salon in downtown Vancouver anchors the corner of Vancouver’s busiest intersection and most prestigious retail block (Tiffany’s, Hermés, Coach, Ports, Gucci, And Louis Vuitton). The salon offers a warm, exciting and European feel and Suki’s reputation for excellence. Here, the focus is on superb service and quality.

History

Established in 2007.

In 1972 Suki moved to Vancouver, bought a small salon at the site of our current South Granville location. Starting with no clients but a clear vision of what hairdressing could be, the company was built one client at a time, primarily through word of mouth.

From the beginning the focus was strong technical cutting and great colour work. In 1978 the Suki’s Academy was founded, primarily to train our own staff. Today the Suki’s Academy attracts North American and international students and is considered one of the finest training facilities in the world. Suki’s was the first salon in Canada to utilize Technicians, who specialize in colour.

The company remains committed to quality and innovation. The vast majority of all Suki’s Stylists and Technicians started with the company as Apprentices, completed the Suki’s Academy and passed a demanding final exam before being allowed to work in the salons. Simply put, our Stylists and Technicians are better because they are better trained.

Meet the Manager

Kenny F.

Manager

Kenny is one of Suki’s most senior stylists with over 30 years of experience in the hair industry. Originally trained at Vidal Sassoon in London, England, he has accumulated a vast array of experience working on hair shows, teaching seminars, and photo shoots. Quiet by nature, talented and technical, Kenny expresses himself through his work, and is comfortable creating either classic or creative looks. He believes that there is always more to learn, and he continually updates his skills at the Suki’s Academy.
