Such a nice location. Would recommend if you are in Stanley Park. I had a Nutella hot chocolate which was amazing on a cold day. We all had burgers which were great too.

For a restaurant in such a unique high attraction location, my expectations were higher for this place. Never mind the fact that they got my order wrong(asked for no bacon but was bought bacon instead, they fixed it quick), the breakfast quesadilla had almost no taste or seasoning. I had to dip in ketchup to add flavour. The server was friendly. The beer was good tho. Good place to go if there is absolutely nothing nearby and you are really hungry. Otherwise would not recommend it.

Don’t do it. Service was awful and the food was decent but not worth the price and not a huge selection. Would never want anyone to have that experience. Go outside the park to eat.

Stopped in for a late lunch. The outside patio was nice, hardly anyone there at that time of day. We split a Park burger with onion rings. The burger was well made with just the right amount of toppings and sauce. Now for the best part, I usually never order fries so I am often disappointed by freezer onion rings. These were not freezer rings, they were delicious crispy perfectly seasoned hand made rings. Easily the best I have ever had. I’d go back for thee rings alone. Only reason for a 4 not a five is the value. $ 22 for a burger and rings is a bit steep.

This place has amazing burgers! Seriously, one of the best I’ve ever had! My husband got the chipotle and I got the classic and we were both extremely pleased. The burger was juicey and flavorful and was a very decent size! And the yam fries are totally worth the extra two dollars — they had so much more flavor than the regular fries. Since the burger was so awesome, we decided to give dessert a try. Unfortunately, their s’more brownie didn’t do it for us. While the presentation was beautiful, the brownie was lacking. I prefer dense, fudgey brownies, but this was cakey and plain. This place is in a beautiful park and has a wonderful view. While our waiter was only only so-so(not very attentive) one of the managers ended up taking care of us and she was very friendly!

Overall, I would give Stanley’s Bar and Grill 3.5 stars for the food, but am knocking it down a half star because the seafood chowder came in the shallowest soup bowl I have ever seen, which means there was considerably less soup than I would expect for $ 12. The grilled chicken sandwich was good. The fish and chips was alright but the portion size was huge, which made up for the not-so-great tartar sauce. The ambience on the outdoor deck is wonderful, but the service was slow enough to be annoying. There aren’t many choices to sit down and eat a restaurant meal in Stanley Park, so if you’re hungry and don’t want to walk back into the city it’s a decent choice.

This place seems to have some pretty harsh reviews but I’m not sure why. It’s in a beautiful, tranquil spot and is basically your only option for a casual drink in this area. There’s a huge patio overlooking the gardens, and the interior is cosy with a nice looking bar area. Extra points for the log fire. The staff in here have been friendly and attentive whenever I’ve been in. There’s a decent draft beer selection and they serve icy cold pints — perfect after a walk around the seawall. The food is average pub fare — it’s not great, but it’s worth coming here for the view alone, and I appreciate the existence of a non-fancy drink option in the park.

Within Stanley Park is a nice place to stop in and have a beer and a bite. My husband is not a fan of walking, so having this pub as a half way point of our exploring of the park was a great way to have a rest, and get a bit of a buzz. The service was good, but it wasn’t busy while we were there. We had a few beers and then ordered the charcuterie. While the charcuterie was delicious, the portions were a bit small for the price. Generally we really enjoyed having a cute place to stop in for a break during a walk around Stanley Park.

Came in for lunch after driving up from Seattle and had some starving kids in tow. The attitude of the server left much to be desired. She never checked on us after taking 10 minutes to come over when there were only 2 other occupied tables who were there just for cocktails. She had an attitude since I had kids with me, and that was really uncool. The food was subpar. The fries were thin, shoestring with some of them cold by the time they reached us and some burnt. The prices were insane for the simple burgers and sandwiches we ordered. I would not go here again, and I’d definitely warn anyone with kids to go elsewhere. Food: 2 Service: 1 Ambiance: 2 Parking: 3

Stopped here for a bite to eat with my family while touring Vancouver’s awesome aquarium. What a gem! The building is over 100 yrs old and was so charmingly surrounded by beautiful gardens with unique flowers I haven’t seen before. Absolutely lovely to stroll through. As for the restaurant… I had the poutine and thought it was delicious… finished the whole plate which is quite a feat for me! My brother ordered a Stanley Amber(locally brewed) which the waiter forgot about. Upon reminding him he felt bad and gave it to us on the house! What great service! Thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience there — from the second I walked in to leaving, worth 5 stars and beyond!

After a nice day on the beach and in the sun I needed a good beer and food on the patio. Hello Stanley pub and grill. With a giant outdoor seating section with a beautiful view of the park this little pub is nicely located. I tried the local Stanley park amber ale and it was fantastic. The pale ale and pilsner were a little to light for my taste. I had a cup of the seafood chowder to start and was not disappointed. The soup was very flavourful and hot. Next came out the fish and chips. The fish was a lightly battered cod. Not greasy or over battered. Just a very nicely done and slightly crispy outside coating. Just the way I like it. All in all an excellent meal. Oh. And my nephew Hudson says that the grilled cheese sandwiches are«very cheesy» and«way better then mommy and daddies». So now you also have the definitive answer on the grilled cheese sandwiches as well.

Three stars isn’t a fair rating for this place, they have a nice selection of local beers on tap, the food is very good and the staff are super friendly. There is also a trolley stop right out front. You would think it would be a tourist trap as there is nowhere else to eat in the park, but it’s not. Easily as good as the places downtown.

A perfectly fine place to grab a quick bite in the park. Nice friendly staff. Good beer selection. Tasty charcuterie plate that is easily shared by 2 – 3 people

I’m giving this place one stars only because the salmon chowder they had was delicious… Otherwise, this place was totally subpar. I ordered the daily sandwich and asked specifically want kind of sauces were on it. I got an answer from the kitchen but when my sandwich arrived, lo and behold, it wasn’t what they had told me. Plus I had ordered the daily soup, and instead they brought me the chowder… As I said, the chowder was delicious so I kept it but asked for my sandwich to be fixed. Weirdly enough, their daily sandwich had changed between the time I ordered the original and the time I was asking for a replacement. So they could only give me the new daily sandwich. Again I asked what was on the sandwich, and the waitress had to go check again what was on it… None of this would have been overly inconvenient if our waitress hadn’t ignored us, with no water refills and the fact that it took forever for her to come back with just the sandwich ingredients. It was moderately busy and they could have been understaffed for all I know but to pay the prices at this bar and grill and get this poor level of service was just unacceptable.

Visited here this past Sunday and enjoyed the fish and chips, with a beer on the deck. Service was good. Location is great. Very pretty surroundings.

Ok the 5 stars are because this place totally took me by surprise !! I have been to many tourist spots and this place was by far the best !! Service was top notch ! We arrived after walking thru Stanley park on a rainy day(go figure!) and as the sun was coming out we opted to sit on the deck area, the manager wiped down a table for us, and cleared it of all the water droplets, and we started a trend cuz more people made to here and the manager was very gracious in accommodating them as well, our server greeted us promptly and was genuinely friendly ! As for the food, I wasn’t expecting much, but wow was I surprised ! I had the chicken sandwich was very tasty, marinated chicken breast which was juicy and flavorful with all farm fresh accouterments, and a soft fresh bun and I paid the little extra for poutine as my side, which was amazing, I actually wanted another order !! But opted for dessert instead, which was a pear and apple crumble with fresh cream! Not my favorite but equally as fresh(should have went for poutine lol) as you can read, I used the word fresh a few times, which this meal was ! So impressed !! Average entrée is about 13 $ to 19 $ but compared to other places in this town completely worth it !!

if you think of this place as a bar & grill with a fantastic deck in the middle of Stanley Park, you can’t really go wrong. while i didn’t care for the breading on the fish in the fish & chips, the poutine was good, and their burgers and sandwiches are upscale and looked yummy. not at all cafeteria style. the draft beer selection was local and tasty. we stopped here after a bike ride around the park and a visit to the aquarium, which had enormous lines for food. we were seated right away and enjoyed our meals. i would definitely stop here again for a beer and a snack while enjoying the park!

After an extra long drive from Calgary we freshened up at the hotel and decided to hit up the Vancouver Aquarium which btw is $ 27 per person. After the aquarium we were pretty hungry and were looking for some place to eat, we happen to spot Stanley’s Park Bar & Grill and decided to give it a try. It was about 8PM and there were 2 parties ahead of us so we glanced at the menu while we waited. When we got seated our server took a while to come greet us. I knew that he was busy but we were hungry! We saw the fish selection and thought we should go with that because we’re in Vancouver, right by the Ocean… should be great! Finally, when he came by our table we were all ready to order. We asked to start off with the Tuna Tacos and I ordered the Wild BC Salmon burger with a poutine instead of regular fries and Spence ordered the Fish(Salmon) n Chips. Another server came to drop our food off… everything arrived at the same time. –_– Our server then came by our table and apologized and said it was his mistake. By that time, we didn’t care because all we wanted to do was eat! So we dug into the Tuna Tacos(3 tacos)… They were pretty much store bought tortilla wraps with pieces of tuna sprinkled with cheese and salsa which tasted store bought as well and we found the salsa was overpowering the taste of the tuna. We weren’t impressed. Then I moved to my burger… ick! The salmon was very rare in the center, I didn’t appreciate that but I ate the cooked sides of it. It was very bland tasting. Then the poutine… soggy! Needless to say, my meal was a disaster! :(Moving on to Spencer’s meal… the fish n chips. I had a taste and it wasn’t as bad as the tacos and my burger. He thoroughly enjoyed it but didn’t hesitate to mentioned he’s had better. To top that off, our glasses we empty for pretty much the whole meal and our server kept walking by our table and didn’t acknowlege the fact we wanted more water. FINALLY after we had our napkins on our plates because we were done… he came by. ANOTHER –_-‘ I must add, that our server wasn’t rude at all… he just seemed kind of not with it. Oh well. –_-. Will we venture on back to this bar and grill? Absolutley not!

A Vancouver tradition since 1911. I had a nice lunch here one time with my ex-wife. We were in Vancouver for the weekend and were on bikes as we were peddling around Stanley Park. We had just finished our visit to the Vancouver Aquarium and were up for Lunch. Stanley’s Park Bar & Grill is located in the Stanley Park Pavilion and within the Rose Gardens. It’s a gorgeous location and view, features a neat mountain chalet-type architecture, and was a great place to hang out and take it all in. The food and service were also good enough as to complement the entire experience. The Pavilion also does a robust banquet/wedding business and is a bit pricey.
