Nice place to get together with friends and love the family friendliness. I went with my two kids (3 Year old and 3 month old) and a couple friends to catch up on a Tuesday night.
Food:
— not bad, classic fare with slight twists. I had the mac and cheese with mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. It was okay. The tomatoes didn’t seem grilled or if they did it was only very slightly and didn’t enhance the flavour at all.
— one of my friends ordered the pork belly and egg pizza and seemed to really enjoy it
— my son had the cheese pizza. It was a large portion for a kids menu item. Ended up taking it home and it reheated well the next day
Service:
— excellent service from the moment we arrived. The hostess opened the door for me, seeing as I had a stroller
— accommodated my online reservation which was done 30 minutes before arrival
— server was great, especially with my 3 Year old who wanted to pay with this gift card he had. He actually tried to process it and even gave the declined receipt to him.
— minor thing: didn’t like how our food arrived before my son’s. Kids are impatient to begin with and making them wait longer is like agony! Haha, but it wasn’t a long wait.
Atmosphere:
— casual place and I can see it being a nice spot in the summer when the patio is open.
— we sat in the covered patio section and it wasn’t colder than the inside which was nice

I came here for dinner on a Tuesday and had their Spiced Iced Cider which was on special for $ 1 off (and which was delicious) and their Pulled Bacon Poutine. I was happy with my meal — it had lots of gravy and cheese, enough for all of the fries and not too much that it absolutely drenched them, which tend to be my biggest yucks when it comes to poutine.
The only downside was that the place is so big that the servers can’t pay that much attention. Ordering took a long time because we were in the upstairs section and the servers didn’t come by very much to check up on if we needed anything.

Good view, good drinks. Food was really not THAT impressive but its still alright. When you got great location and good service, what more could you possibly ask for? There’s always room if you are with a big group and no one is letting you in on a Friday night! If you are in the area make sure you hop in and get a beef/​wine flight!

As a brand Tap is fantastic. Food is overall consistent and very good. I’ve visited Olympic Village, Canada place and the new north shore location … Olympic village is seriously lacking in the service department unless you have Jeff bartending, he is so helpful and pleasant !! Salmon burger, chicken tender, cheese board are good !!

We came here for a quick drink over the weekend. We’ve always avoided this place because the menu just doesn’t really appeal to us, but it’s convenient since it’s a block away from home so we decided to give it a try as we always go to Craft and wanted a change.
I ordered a caesar and it was $ 1 off and my boyfriend ordered the whiskey sour. They were more pricey than I expected but I was happy with my caesar. It came with a pepperoni stick and a pepperoncini and the drink was nice and spicy as slightly tart. Quite a decent caesar. My boyfriend liked his drink but it was nothing special.
We ordered the tater tots to nibble on and it’s been so long since I’ve had those and they did the trick. I haven’t had any other food from this location, but what I’ve tried at the other locations were decent. Enough to keep me coming back? Maybe not so much. But on those days we want to change it up, we might be back, especially in the summer when the patio is open.

Tap & Barrel has upped their game since they first opened. I remember not enjoying their food and service, but I’m happy to see a delightful staff and revamped menu.
Went here to watch the game on Saturday and our waitress, Natalie, was attentive and friendly. I was raving about the chicken sandwiches to my friends who then ended up all ordering it. I felt the pressure was on after I hyped it up and asked Natalie to do me a solid and communicate that these have gotta come out perfect. She was on it. Then the manager came in to check on us too. After they came, the manager came back to check and see how they were. We all thoroughly enjoyed it as well as it was a good ambiance to watch a football game (far better than other «similar» places in the area that weren’t playing the audio).
I haven’t tried too many other dishes but beers were fresh and we all had a good time. Staff is great and the only knock on the place is the price. Just getting to be a little too pricey to make it a regular spot.

Went there for breakfast and I have to say it’s located in a nice trendy location. When you are inside you feel like you are in a kitchen setting. It can be quite loud. I got the egg Benedict and do love it but the portion was a bit small.
But the location is good. You might find free parking but really depends
Ok second time back ordered the ahi tuna spicy burger. I was concern that the burger will be super spicy apparently you have have the spicy sauce on the side. Service was really awesome. Funny I didn’t know they have a upstairs. Good view good food

Tater tots were super crispy and a very welcome side for the brunch items.
I got the Taphouse bacon and eggs. Good, but nothing too special.

It was a beautiful evening to sit on the patio at Tap & Barrel and enjoy the sunset! Here’s an interesting tidbit, the heaters on the patio keep it warmer than in the restaurant! It was nice and cozy on the chilly evening tonight! I felt very welcomed when I arrived and the service was very good. The chicken tacos were fairly good, had a nice little kick to them.

I’ve been to the Tap & Barrel downtown several times for brunch before, but last night was my 1^st time at this Tap & Barrel in the Olympic Village, for dinner.
We came here after the Unilocal Elite event at CRAFT (just across the plaza), and ordered two mains — the Pacific True Cod n’ Chips, and the Craft Beer Mac n’ Cheese with Pulled Bacon.
Taste-​wise, the cod was fleshy and fresh, with a light hint of beer taste in its batter. Pretty tasty, but the 2 pieces were rather small. The fries were thick cut, but nothing special.
The Mac n’ Cheese was the ultimate kind of comfort food. It came in a skillet, with creamy cheese & macaroni curls, topped with pulled bacon. It was decently good but, what can I say, I love mac n’ cheese! I do wish though, that this dish could come in half portions, because I’d probably get sick eating an entire skillet of gooey cheese! Luckily we were sharing these 2 entrees between the 2 of us, so my tastebuds were not too overwhelmed by cheese.
Service was mostly absent. Our server checked on us once the whole time we were there, aside from taking our order and bringing us our bill.
Considering the cost with the service & mediocre pub food we got, I probably won’t be coming back here again any time soon.

Dad and I had tickets to the Habs vs Canucks game last night, and there was nowhere near Stadium station to eat that appealed to us. So I figured we should try either Craft Beer Market or Tap and Barrel since they’re close to main and less than a ten minute walk. Dad said he was down for Tap and Barrel.
We sat outside and had a friendly server. Both of us ordered a flight of BC beer, I ordered the tap burger and Dad ordered the Cajun chicken burger. The flight was just okay. I mean, I’m not a craft beer connoisseur so maybe my opinion isn’t the most reliable. I liked the cider and Yellow Dog Play Dead IPA, but the others had very strong flavors that didn’t sit well — one was very nutty, and two tasted like burnt coffee. Dad agreed with me.
Our burgers were all right. I enjoyed mine thoroughly; the bun could’ve been warmed up, but at least the burger itself wasn’t cold. Fries were tasty. Dad’s chicken burger was okay; the avocado made it a bit messy but other than that it was fine.
Service was decent. Our waiter was friendly and did the minimum required. This place was just okay for me. Their food menu was kind of lacking. I feel like they could’ve been a bit more diverse and had some more options. The only reason we didn’t go to Craft was because their website said «Now hiring all positions» which made us wonder if there was a lack of staff/​issues in the restaurant.
I wasn’t disappointed in my experience here, but wasn’t blown away either. Don’t know if it warrants a return visit.

Service was ok. I wasnt upsold anywhere. Tv’s were too loud to talk to my friend. Missing Swans Beer on tap.

Bozo the Clown at the upstairs bar could use an attitude adjustment. The staff here are not knowledgable about their drinks, which changes seasonally. If this was my trade I would make sure to know it like the back of my hand.
Not the most welcoming environment if you arrive in a large diverse group of non-​whites. You get the distinct feeling that they prefer «their own kind» here, which isn’t brown or yellow.
Very limited selection of white wines on tap: Pinot or Sauvignon. The irony is not loss on me.
At times like these I truly appreciate Unilocal for giving the marginalized diner a platform to speak.

To me, just another pub and burger place. It has a good view from either ground-​floor or upper patio with heat lamps to keep you warm on the cooler days.
The food is average, I had the Santa Fe chicken tacos, salmon tacos and the tap burger before. Not all at the same time. Hehe.
The service is a hit and miss. The last waitress we had was slow and sometimes non-​existent. Our water was never refilled and we had to get another waitress to help get more beer. However another time, the waitress we had was great. She was always coming by to fill out water, asked if we needed any other drinks, brought more napkins and joked with us, even though it was busy.
The things that are going for this place is the view and short wait.

Delicious food, good service. A little pricey.
We didn’t order the burgers or pizza but will definitely go back again they looked really great!
Be weary of the beer tasting, they include cider and stout!

Alexa is the slowest and worst server ever known to man. If she was more concerned with customer service and not how she looks to the male patrons, this place might be better. But when I’m paying $ 9.00 a beer? I expect not to wait 32 minutes to get my next drink.
Craft, a 39 second walk away will get my business compared to this absurd shithole.

Another pub and burger place to me really.
I wish there was something more fantastical but hmm maybe I’ll try something else on the menu next time. I had the Tap burger with onion rings and a sangria-​yellow? (well I asked for a fruity girlie drink and this was what the server suggested — I only wish it was sweeter)
They have a really nice outside heated patio area where I sat. My table was wobbly and it seems as though we were not the first ones to try to fix this matter with folded paper under the foot of the base.
The hostess and greeters and waiters are really nice here and I would definately come back.

I had the f n k burger… It’s not bad, but also not great. There’s really not that much poutine inside it… And the bottom bun was overly moist due to the sauce. The fries weren’t particularly good either.
Service ain’t bad though.
