I was looking for postcards on the very day I stumbled upon this store. The prices are alright and better if I bought 5+. I didn’t. The problem was that I couldn’t find anything that I liked enough to send out internationally. Maybe I’m too picky, but cards that are just ‘cute’ don’t make me want to buy them. I prefer the cards with traditional art printed and some vintage designs(not photos!!!). The quality is stunning and I prefer this store to Papyrus… which their sparkly cards turn me away. I will stop by next time I visit Granville Island though. The lady is very nice(I actually like their paper bags… I still have it to put my letters).

solid 3.5 stars if you want to impress your other half with a more thoughtful postcard. And surprising that prices are reasonable, just under $ 2 per, and bulk pricing available too. Their cards have more themes, designs than those souvenirs shops in DT. Also have magnets right at cashier. Small corner store in Net Loft building.

This little shop within a building of little shops was one of the main reasons I drove to Vancouver. As I recently started collecting postcards, I put the Postcard Place in my Unilocal bookmarks. This little store is so cute and there is such a variety of nontraditional and non-touristy postcards. They were a little bit more expensive than your regular run-of-the-mill postcards but the quality in the majority of them was on par. Honestly I was kind of taken aback simply by the variety here. Variety in the subject matter and the types of papers available. There are so many unique cards, almost too unique to want to let go of them by mailing them to someone else. It might just makes someone’s day though to get such a special treat in the mail. I will definitely be back if I’m in the Granville Island area the next time I’m in Vancouver.

Whenever I am on Granville Island I come here. I am one of those old school people who still writes letters on nice paper to friends. I normally make my own cards and envelope from scrap book ends, however, like to get a few stamps here and there from here. Prices are $$ given the location but it is where I found a cute bunny stamp for Easter.

This shop has some beautifully designed paper products. They mostly carry post cards, but they also have address books, note books, magnets, cards, and other tasteful gift items. I come here to buy post card books as they are fairly affordable. I then put these images on card blanks. Shopping here helps me save a lot of money on birthday cards without sacrificing quality.

Who doesn’t love getting postcards in the mail? If you enjoy sending them, check out the Postcard Place. It is a small shop with a nice selection of unique postcards beyond the usual pictures of beautiful British Columbia. They also sell a variety of cards and other paper goods.
