The UPS Store

Just a quick update of my initial review which has now been five years (how time flies when you’re having fun).
I’m still having my mailbox at this UPS Shop and service has always been fast, friendly and reliable. Pricing for my mailbox service is also acceptable and certainly worth keeping it.
Give it a try if you need any shipping, office or mailbox service!

I just wanted to express my appreciation in a public way to this UPS store and its owner and staff. My wife and I were in the process of applying for visas to visit India this month. The online e-​application was glitchy and unworkable and we had spent most of the day trying to make it work. To that end we visited the passport photo shop next door to the UPS to obtain digital passport photos to once again battle with the e-​application. The operator there advised that many applicants had experienced the same issue and referred us to the UPS store saying that the owner there had assisted a number of people with the same problem. The owner of the UPS gave us access to the store computer and spent about ½ an hour of his own time trying various workarounds. Finally he directed us to a general application site rather that the e-​tourist site and allowed us to go through the lengthy application process on the store computer. Success at last! Thank you so much for going out of your way to assist us to redirect an otherwise very frustrating day. Final bill…$ 2.70. You guys are great!

Puzzled… Went to this UPS location to have a package delivered, paid for by the receiver. The staff tells me that they do not issue receipts or waybills for shipments. Huh? No paperwork is issued… only a terse statement of ‘your package will be scanned at 4:30 when the truck driver arrives’. The staff insisted he would not call head office to request a receipt be issued. His solution… ‘Take your parcel and call a driver to pickup’. Great system they have, huh?
It is ripe for a scenario whereby a package gets ‘lost’ or perhaps stolen sometime during the day. There is no paperwork, no record created, nothing. How can UPS operate like that?
