The atmosphere is authentic, lovely view of the harbour. Would recommend pulled pork poutine! Large helping for a reasonable price, can’t get better than that. Always good selection on tap.

This place is a hidden gem. I gotta say the food here is pretty dang good for a bar. The salmon burger is so savory and the yam fries is definitely better than good. The good thing about this place is its usually not super packed like most olympic villagy bars like craft, dublin, tap and barrel. So its easy to find seat. The place is a bit old but has a really nice patio. Parking is a bit annoying but ya not bad at all.

I give 4 stars mainly for the location and nice view. This is a great place to stop by with my friends when we are walking or riding a bike around false creek. They have a great patio with a nice view of Downtown Vancouver. Love it. Great place to have a beer and enjoy the sun in the summer. I only tried crab sandwich so far and it is very tasty. I just removed 1 star because they took really long to bring a beer. I was almost done with my sandwich when it came.

Have you ever seen someone who has been at their job far too long and just doesn’t give a s*** anymore? Well that pretty much describes every server and bartender at The Wicklow. It’s a shame because the place looks great and the food is quite good but having to deal with some miserable server overshadows and ruins the entire experience. Jennifer, Libby and the rest of the crew are just awful and it makes The Wicklow an unbearable place to be.

What you would expect. Good predicable pub fare. Salmon burger with Yam fries, Beef dip with same. Tasty and not greasy. Ok selection of beer. Local crowd keeps place down to earth. If i could it would be a 3.5 but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

We used to visit this pub often when my boyfriend lived in the building by Stamps Landing. We were disappointed when they took nachos off the menu. Haven’t been to Wicklow’s for about two years. Great location.

Good brunch. Wicked hashbrowns. I recommend the Crab Cake Benny and the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese Benny. Good view and decent prices!

4 pub stars. Amazing patio location, one of the best in Vancouver. The food here is pub food at it’s best. Don’t expect fine dining, but that’s not say its terrible quality, but rather hearty pub fare. The portions are very generous. The $ 10 pulled pork poutine is probably the best value in Vancouver. It’s massive! The wings are likewise a big portion(a pound ish), organic, a decent size per wing, and very tasty(not greasy). For burgers it has to be the Alberta Burger: beef, pulled pork, and bacon. Go there for sunset, and enjoy food portions and prices that most Vancouver pubs don’t offer(especially in the Yaletown /False Creek area).

One of my favourite pubs in the city! Good for brunch, lunch or dinner. In the winter it’s hard to beat their Yorkshire Pudding stuffed with mashed potatoes, beef, onion & horseradish. The staff are pretty friendly, they helped secure me a good spot on the patio when I was there for my birthday last year. The view is gorgeous! Highly recommend!

I am strictly giving this restaurant 5⁄5 because of the incredible service my party received from MICHELLE! I had my birthday dinner party at the Wicklow Pub. I rented a room on the top floor and they had the seating all ready when we arrived. My friends decorated the place and no one made an issue about it. The view from the patio is amazing as well. The menu is huge. It has tons of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. And the food is in good portions and delicious. The drink menu, although not available online, was affordable. Back to Michelle, she was a single server for a party of 30. She was totally cool and had her shit together. I think she was completely perfect for this event. Without her, the party would not have been such a huge success. Good job Wicklow and Michelle! Thanks for such a successful event!

I love this place. I love it so much I’ve hesitated giving it a good review in case I’ll singlehandedly contribute to line ups out the door, and never get to sit at my favourite table ever again. Great food, great view, friendly servers, reasonable prices. What more could you want?

The place is a cool pub with a couple TVs and good beer: the basic requirements for a pub. Service is just ok. The awesome thing is the patio. The view for the boats on Falsecreek is worth waiting.

[Waterfront Patio]
Location, location, location! There’s not many pubs around Vancouver situated on the water’s edge with an overlooking patio. We were fortunate enought to snag a table for 6 early on a Friday evening without much of a wait. They had a good selection beer and wine but nowhere near as many as place like Craft or Biercraft. Prices were also very reasonable given the location($ 5-$ 7). I found the food to be a little pricey given the quality. A few of us shared a few appies — a poutine, chicken fritters, crab cakes and wings. It was all very salty(as expected with pub food) but didn’t really impress despite being hungry. I didnt particularly feel there was value to be had at $ 14 each. There wasn’t any loud background music which probably has something to do with all the residential buildings nearby. The atmosphere was still lively and fun but not out of control. It was nice to leave a pub without my ears ringing and my voice intact. Wicklow has a great patio with a fantastic view but everything else is nothing to write home about. I probably wouldn’t repeat given the number of excellent pubs in Olympic village and South Main areas.

Some of best quality and decently priced pub grub around. Regulars place but welcoming for all. Great patio for nice days, but winter is cozy and staff friendly and real. Broad beer selection of macros and some smaller breweries, could only do with a few more micros or a rotating tap to complete the picture. Proper pub atmosphere, great place to relax.

On a beautiful summer’s day, there are many patios to choose from around Vancouver. We came to Wicklow one evening when my friends and I were seeking out something different, a place with a spectacular waterfront view and a great atmosphere. Wicklow scored well with the view — the patio is a prime spot with a lengthy wait if you’re not there early. It’s packed, it’s loud, and it’s one of those places that makes you realize the patio experience suddenly dwindles when you take away the relaxing and peaceful qualities that are a huge part of the appeal. Service here is okay, a little slow due to the volume of customers. The food is alright — the portions are large. The sangria and cocktails were all watered down and weak, so I quickly switched to wine. I’d come back here to try brunch sometime and enjoy the view, but otherwise it doesn’t make it too high on the list.

My first time at the Wick was for brunch — it was amazing. Rock crab benny — enough said. My second time at the Wick was for dinner/drinks — it was just ok. The patio(when you can get it), is pretty nice; not gigantic, but enough room to be able to have some nice conversation and also enjoy a nice sunset over False Creek. The food was your regular pub-grub. The sesame crusted saku tuna was really good, though. They may call it a «smaller plate» but it’s actually pretty filling. I would go back again for a drink and the view, especially over brunch.

Very busy on a sunny Saturday. The birthday group I was with was denied use of the patio based on our numbers and then crammed into an area that made it difficult for the server to access. Inside it was alarmingly loud and very difficult to maintain conversation even when the person was right in front of you. Outside would have been a much better experience for conversation. They really should have accommodated our wishes to be on the patio. The food is better than average pub food and *higher than average in price* My Lamb was delicious! If you order this, it would be best accompanied with fries and or another starch, as it’s pretty oily. *Warning* The customer service is not impressive for so many reasons. 3 of our party were Gluten Intolerant and(or) Celiac and one has a seafood allergy. Our server was clearly not well informed about the menu items. In example, 2 of the«gluten free» pastas were delivered with a side of bread. Um – hello? One of our party became sick after he had the Ceviche which was at first forgotten and then delivered after a great delay and arrived with no apologies. Everyone else already had their meals. About 30 minutes later the poor young man got sick from the Ceviche and later had to leave. To exacerbate the issue, the server had to be convinced to remove the item from the bill. That’s unacceptable behaviour. Once again unapologetic and even farther, making excuses like«there is no way he would be sick so soon…» She was quickly corrected by the 2FOODSCIENTISTS of our party, one of which happens to have majored in food born illnesses! All in all, not a great experience but we would consider a return at some point to enjoy the patio. The view from this location is really nice.
