History

Established in 2011.

At Travelling Tykes we are parents too and we know what it’s like to travel with small children.

That’s why we decided to offer this service to families travelling to the Vancouver and Whistler areas. Travelling Tykes also knows that not everyone has a crib or high chair in their basement for when friends and relatives come to visit, so we also rent to people having visitors with little ones. Hauling all your babies gear with you isn’t practical so why not rent from us?

As a mother herself, Teresa knows first hand what it’s like to travel with a baby… tough! The first trip they took when her son was 6 months old had them hauling everything from the car seat to his favourite mobile for sleeping. It was a learning experience that prompted her to start her own business. When looking to rent equipment on the next trip she realized that most companies had high prices, minimum orders and extra costs for delivery. They also would courier the product instead of delivering it personally. Teresa was determined to provide a place for parents to rent their equipment from that was not only hassle free but within a budget. Travelling Tykes offers competitive rates, FREE delivery within Vancouver, help with set and no minimum order. Most of all Teresa knows that the only thing you want to think about when travelling with your family is the fun you’re going to have. Teresa and Travelling Tykes do their best to ensure just that.
