Came here to try some Ca Ri curry soup with vermicelli. It was good, but wish they had a little more noodle. I was left drinking the soup. I finished the whole thing! I didn’t feel too thirsty afterwards so that’s a good sign. My friend ordered the tofu wrap. I make a lot of my own wraps so I’m picky. I noticed the rice wrap was chewy to bite into. I had a hint of unfreshness that may have been from either the tofu or veggie, but my second roll didn’t have that taste… Not too sure… But nonetheless it was good and I really did enjoy the curry noodle. Yes I will come back for sure! Can’t wait to try their new dish I saw! Steam rice roll!!!

I was there for lunch. No service because they lack staff. There was only one girl taking orders and serving the dishes. The food was average. The place was very stuffy. I failed to see the specialty about the restaurant. Ordered vegetarian phở and spring rolls. Quite pricy considering the portion. Food is ok, but I won’t be returning.

Veggie Bowl is one of my fave restaurants. They serve Vietnamese vegetarian. I started coming here as an alternative to the very popular and busy Chau Express(another goody that appeals to hipsters). The food is equally as good here, but they are not nearly as busy so there are no waits for seats. I come regularly for meatless Monday, Chinese New Year veggie day or even just a regular day for healthier Vietnamese food. The menu is small, but what they offer is done right. The food is so flavourful that you won’t miss the meat. The restaurant serves true Vietnamese vegetarian food without the«short cuts». They use the right ingredients and the right techniques. My favourite dish is the lotus salad. It has tonnes of texture and a savory, tangy dressing that’s so delicious. The Canh Chua has a nicely balanced sweet and sour soup, it is served with choice of vermicelli noodles or rice. The right ingredients are used here as well. Being Vietnamese, and remembering what mom made, and tasting that in a restaurant is fantastic. Ownership changed earlier this year. Food taste and quality is the same, but service is much more welcoming. So for those who visited before and were put off by the cool attitude of the staff/owners, do give them another try… it’s a warmer vibe now.

I came here on a Monday evening with my two friends, and we ended up ordering the Vermicelli Special(B1), the Spicy Vegetarian Soup(B4), the Vegetarian Curry with Vermicelli(B6), and some sort of rice roll thing that is new and isn’t on the menu(didn’t catch the name) that the server had shown us a picture of on her phone. All of the dishes were delicious, and for those with a smaller appetite, the portion sizes are enough for two meals! My friends and I had to work hard to finish all of our food, and by the end of it we were in a food coma. Logistical details: tea or water is provided free of charge. We got to choose where we wanted to sit. Chopsticks, spoons and napkins were on the side for us to grab. Inner décor was very nice and put together. Clean. Relaxed. Didn’t feel rushed at any point or anything. Don’t be fooled by the lack of reviews. This place is amazing, and you should definitely make your way over here when you get the chance! There’s currently construction right next door, so parking is a bit annoying, but the food makes up for it!

This place serves delicious food. The food tasted amazing, even better than the previous owner. Before the portions were tiny and small, but the new management seemed to have increased portion sizes. The satay noodles were now unfinishable and the curry was jam packed with vegetables. They also have a new dish called the steamed rice rolls and holy hell– it was delicious! The price is extremely affordable and the majority of the menu is under $ 10, for such a good portion size. Amazing experience overall, atmosphere is also very relaxing when it’s not too busy.

Wanted to try this place out. Needed a break from all the carbed out meals I usually eat at. My body needed to start looking for healthier options and I remembered driving by here. Let me tell you. This place did not disappoint me. I ordered the veggie curry with brown rice. It was so flavourful and delicious i did not think once there was no meat in it. I will definitely turn vegetarian if this is how veggie dishes taste like. I feel less bloated and good about myself after my meal. But I digress. The Buddhist, peaceful environment(loved the background music they played) was a nice way to enjoy one’s meal. The staff were SUPER friendly and accommodating: for example 1. we arrived before opening(accidentally) and they took our order! 2. I explained my son had a peanut allergy and they worked with us(other places will typically give me a blanket disclaimer saying«we can’t guarantee that there isn’t any cross contamination. So just don’t order it»). 3. They made a smaller size veggie phở for my son. $ 2! 4. Wasn’t made to feel guilty for asking for more napkins(you know exactly what I’m talking about!) My only regret was that I didn’t tip more for this visit. But I will be back! For sure

This was a wonderful place. Authentic vegetarian/vegan Vietnamese food at its finest. The interior is very clean and has a very warming feeling. Service is very friendly and the food is quick to arrive after ordering. We ordered one of those tofu rolls to start and the vegetarian phở for our mains. We were very impressed with the quality. And for $ 9 /bowl, it’s a fantastic deal. Highly recommended.

This place has amazingly good Vietnamese food. They do not have a lot of choices on the menu but their dishes are delicious with lots of flavours. The place and food are clean and neat. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of Vietnamese food.

First time I went here, I was amazed how they make veggies so appetizing(presentation and taste). Since then, this became my go to place when I had enough of meat or whenever I don’t want be stuffed but still be full up. Their serving portion is enough to share between 2 people but we always order 2 dishes. The place is small but clean and their server is nice and friendly. Yes you heard me said«server is», whenever we eat here there’s only one woman manning the dining are and cash register.

Very, very good vegetarian Phở shop. Small menu but those are usually the best types of menus as it allows them to stay focused. Portions could be bigger, but the taste is excellent and seating is very comfortable.

This place is great! and the prices are so reasonable! If you like Veggie Chau Express you’ll love this place. It’s similar style veggie food but with more variation in fresh sauces and veggie selection. The peanut sauce is made with ground up fresh peanuts, not peanut butter! which is always nice! This is a casual dining environment, it’s not a dimly lit romantic date spot and you can’t get alcohol there, but it’s a calm peaceful environment with comfy seats, zenful music playing, nice complimentary tea, excellent food, and friendly staff.

I saw this spot at the corner of my eye while driving. Out of curiosity, I decided to stop by. I was greeted by the young lady and she was very informative. I decided to order the tofu fresh spring rolls. I also got fresh orange juice. Price was good IMO. Portion was good. Staff was friendly. Service was good. Parking… I parked along the street, so it could be challenging unless there is a parking lot somewhere. This place is closed on Tuesdays. A definite spot if you are vegan or vegetarian and love vietnamese food

Prices were reasonable, the tea they serve you in the beginning was okay, not my type of taste. The vegetable curry is amazing, I recommend it, as well as the tofu starters, The peanut sauce that came with it was amazing.

Delicious traditional phở with no meat! The spicy phở is the absolute best! Also love the tea they give, can’t go wrong with ginseng. I’m a very happy and loyal customer as I really enjoy coming here to eat. Whether I get my favourite dish or try something new, the experience is the same — awesome!

Great option if you want to eat healthy. Very reasonably priced. Decent amount of seating. It’s on of those situations in which the simple things actually work. Sometimes there is no need to over complicate things. The customer service was awesome. I had a veggie, rice and light sauce bowl with some side crackers. A full meal around $ 10 = very wallet friendly.

A great vegetarian/vegan vietnamese restaurant! While it may look like your average Vietnamese phở shop, Veggiebowl has a small but tasty array of food to eat. I had the lemongrass tofu and loved it. My partner(who usually hates tofu) commented that it had nice flavor and the texture was firm, not soft and mushy. Had it was brown rice, salad, and crispy tofu strips. I’ll admit, there was a lot of tofu on the plate, but it tasted amazing. We also dined on green papaya salad, which was also divine; sweet, spicy and refreshing all in one mouthful. The one thing that was a let-down in the restaurant was the décor and ambiance. It was hot, humid, and had stale air. While you don’t notice it much while you’re eating, you realized how refreshing it was to be outside with the wind. I’m also not sure where the music came from, it felt like they had a Songza playlist called«Vietnamese lullaby» because it was so soft and gentle it was putting me to sleep. Overall, Veggiebowl is worth going to despite the lack of air movement because the food is that good. I would recommend trying it out in the winter when it would be nice, warm, and cozy!

Veggie bowl met my expectations in terms of food and table service, however some unfortunate circumstances led to my rating that need to be addressed. As an American who frequents Canada I have never had issues using my credit card. The dollar is strong(currently) and I receive the best rate through my card. I’ve never had problems with it and I’ve never experienced a place that didn’t accept VISA. Veggie bowl does not accept VISA. I don’t want to debate the how or the why, I just was amazed when my debit card and credit card both were rejected by this restaurants machines. Typically I have some cash on hand, that was my bad, but with the strong dollar I wasn’t trying to waste 20% of its worth on paying in cash. I admit I wasn’t prepared, but my previous experiences everywhere in Canada did not prepare me for this. Worse yet, the downpour outside soaked my spirits even more as I walked multiple blocks to a nearby bank to honor my food experience. These unfortunate circumstance plus a miscommunicated order, lower veggie bowls grade by a star and a half(2.5 overall); leading me not to recommend this place for American tourist without Canadian cash. Please fix this, it’s a gaping wound in an otherwise healthy restaurant.
