Description

Specialties

Winright Law is a law firm that focuses on both business and real estate law. Our practice is devoted to helping both companies, or its investors, as well as individuals, with their legal issues and protecting them from legal liability. Our clients range from individuals and investors to real estate syndicates, restaurants, as well as start-up companies. Our mission is to come up with win-win situations for both our clients and our law firm. We will do by emphasizing those factors in which we know our clients value: certainty of fees, customer-centricity, and operational efficiency. We strongly believe that when our clients win, we win — at Winright Law.

History

Established in 2014.

Winright Law started as a result of changing times in the legal industry. Soon to be gone are the days in which all law firms charge by time and by hourly rate, without any certainty as to pricing for clients. We seek to abandon the billable hour all together for all our clients, even in litigation matters, as it strains both the relationship between the firm and their clients, and the firm and their employees.

Instead, our practices are innovatively different than other law firms. We give you big firm treatment of custom attention to your individual problems, but without the uncertainty of time-based legal fees. We give you the convenience of online legal services, but without the risk of relying on legal services from someone you never meet. We give you the best of both worlds, but also give you the certainty of a legal budget by fixing our fees for you, and we’ll be keeping in touch with you to make sure everything goes smoothly afterwards.

Meet the Business Owner

Winston K.

Business Owner

Winston is the founder and a lawyer of Winright Law Firm.

Winston began his legal career working at a small law firm in Richmond, B.C. in real estate matters and then a large international law firm in Beijing, China, in structured finance. Winston later moved to a downtown Vancouver law firm, where he practiced in a variety of areas, including corporate securities, corporate and commercial litigation with experience in business, civil, immigration and real estate matters. In Winston’s last few years of practice, Winston has focused substantially more on corporate and commercial litigation. However, Winston still handles both solicitor’s work as well as litigation matters, often having to juggle a number of solicitor’s files, such as drafting wills, contracts, structuring businesses, as well as a number of litigation matters, ranging from matrimonial disputes, intellectual property disputes, contractual disagreements, to investment fraud, to name a few.
