It best days are behind it but there are still some buys and unquiet housewares placed thought the store. Prices are Fair to Good. Staff are funny and indifferent in pleasant way. There is a Lost there Lease sign in the Front window with extra 20% off deals. I think this location will stay open thought the holiday season.

I’ve walked by, and thought this place was for expensive stuff. But the stuff in the back aren’t! They have lots of dollar-store type kitchen items. Not so much chic things like you’d find at Cookworks. I found some neat plant pots that I’ll come back and take a look at. It was vented at the bottom(you know what I mean, for water to not pool at the bottom of the pot and rot the roots), but the water-catching plate was attached.

Wonderbucks is the best place to buy toys and accessories for your four-legged friends. I bought my dog a super cute collar($ 2.50), leash($ 2), poop bag and dispenser for bags that attach to leash($ 2.50), and plush toy($ 2). It had a lot of selection for dogs and cats. All for what it should cost!!!

Great home accessories store for cheap finds. Bought some wooden hangers recently & floor rugs. The cloth placemats are lovely, and so much cheaper than the fancy kitchen stores in town. Pier 1 doesn’t seem to have washable placemats. What’s up with that? Found a faux patent leather tote bag for $ 8 that I can used as my ‘second purse’ to carry my lunch, shoes etc. to work. Much more stylish than the Safeway reusable shopping bag I’ve been known to carry. How unstylish!

The best way I can think to describe Wonderbucks is it is somewhere between Pier 1 and The Dollarstore. They have really inexpensive items to give your space a boost without being gaudy and cheap looking. My friend and I stumbled in by accident and browsed every little section. Not so much a complaint, but a testament to how full of fun items Wonderbucks is, the buggies don’t really fit through the rows of goodies.

I am revealing again here, but I will be the first to admit I am kinda embarrassed when people I know spot me in a dollar store. While I realize it is socially acceptable and there are deals to be had, I cringe each time I venture down a new isle. Wonderbucks is in a whole different category. Their knock-offs will bring your home comfort and style without the Martha Stewart price tag. When you decide to walk into the place be prepared to spend a little time, in fact a lot of time. They without a doubt have the coolest things. I have purchased country aged signs strategically placed around the condo and without fail I get compliments on those $ 2 items while they bypass the 2000 $ couch, I kid you not. The store primarily has accent pieces, mirrors, candles, lots of household items and dishes as well as kitchy items where you will be asked: «Where did you get that?» I have no problems admitting I have spent some quality time browsing those things I just can’t do without. In fact there have been times when I just had to keep walking by cuz I knew if I walked in I would be in big, big trouble. If you are looking for a unique gift idea look no more, you will find it here. The problem will lie in whether you want to give it up or not. Happy Hunting!

Yes Unilocalers, I am a closeted domestic goddess: in love with household things for the kitchen, organizational apparatus for the closets, decorative shelves, furniture… even down to shower curtain liners. Oh love, oh joy! This store has a way of tickling me the right way! I get sidetracked in here debating the merits of décor items I probably don’t need but will buy anyway until the cows come home(or my parking expires.) And they sometimes have some good sales on to boot!

If you want some of the kitchen-gadgetry that is so chic and popular on South Granville … but can’t quite afford it … I’d like to introduce you to Wonderbucks. There are actual deals to be found here, and there is a huge selection of everything home. Furniture, kitchen, candles, frames, dishes … all jammed into a shop for you to get lost exploring. And if you do get lost, find one of their staffers — I had some great help finding the right gadget on my last visit.

Wonderbucks is the Dollar Store for grown ups. Or those of us pretending to be. From stainless steel dish racks, to unique cushions, candles, and cute kitchenware, I wish I’d discovered this place during my Vancouver move two plus years ago. The staff is helpful and can assist with locating items in the mazes of shelves. The merchandise reminded me of the 50s, but modernized. I can see myself mixing cakes in the striped batter bowls, pouring homemade lemonade from the glass pitchers, and baking casseroles in the ovenware.
